Bravo, Carreras! Your honoring this great music legend is so deserving. Unfortunately, the song Beloved, from The Student Prince, was the song that resulted in Mario Lanza's career ending with MGM. The sound track of his voice was used, but he wasn't the actor in the movie. So sad, as if he would have played the part, his life would have turned out in a more positive direction. He is remembered with love & reverence. A wonderful video!
Carreras è bravo ma con la scusa del tributo a Mario Lanza si prende un sacco di applausi con le canzoni che Mario ha portato al successo. E poi non le canta certo come lui, ha la voce strozzata, si sforza parecchio e non possiede la dolcezza ed il timbro della voce di Mario! Però lui è ancora qui a cantare ed invece Mario non c'è più. O
What makes a great tenor? Tezzatora, beautiful round colorful tones or soft floating touches of rainbow, oh and the (actual) high notes sometimes (but not to prove there be monsters).
