I think it will seem that way until Conor retires. His hype will take years to die down, but when people in the future look back on this era of MMA Aldo will definitely get more credit than he does now. The main reason Conor is so popular is because he used to back up all of his trash talk, and then some in the octagon. It sounded so ridiculous when he said he was gonna KO Aldo inside the first round… Jose looked unstoppable like this video, Conor just capitalized on the right place and right time. And he talked all the right trash in the beginning.
@@ahighshowdownthrowdown6128 Urijah Faber really?? i think he is the sort of fighter which better fights on amateur league and not the UFC. their was a time ufc contract every "idiot" and some of them hold it to the end. there was a time simply steroid monsters from wwf wwc etc got the title wit 0 technic. conor mcgregor said so much bullshit, but his aguments with "stiffnes" in the UFC is true. real mma fans what to see a show on the cage and not outside.
@@herbertsattelmeier2941 back in the WEC days. Faber was the king. WEC was the UFC for the lower weightclasses at that time. ZUFFA owned WEC and used WEC as a platform to promote the lower weightclasses, before getting them into the UFC in 2011-2012. He paved the way for the lower weightclasses to get into the UFC. The fight he had with Aldo in WEC is a classic.
People always bring up the Conor loss but they don't talk about how Jose was many people's number one p4p fighter in the world, for a long time. He's a legend. Dude had some of the most vicious leg striking I've ever seen.
@@jonathancasais6491 Possibly, I just think he was too small, Conor is naturally a much bigger man. But if you take Conor into deep waters he is NOT the same fighter so you might be right, but we'll never know.
@@marcoslaureano5562 idk, Conor in the Khabib fight isn't the same with prime FW Conor. Remember Mendez was the first one to gas before Conor even though Conor was the one getting dominated. Also, Conor is lasted 5 rounds with Diaz once so that's something, and let's not forget that Aldo was not in his prime anymore when they fought. I'm surprised that Aldo is still fighting even though he's like the youngest champion in the divisions below middleweight Aldo also has trouble in the later rounds as much as Conor so it would be interesting if he didn't become emotional, but I'm still leaning more towards Conor. Prime Aldo would've smashed him though
footballers always have viscous legs not surprised that aldo has it too i was football first and then got into muay tahi people said you just started but your kicking is really powerful
Fighters won't always win. There are fighters who made history. There are legendary fighters, few, few... José Aldo is one of those legendary warriors!
This is weirdly motivating… I started training at 15, became obsessed with MMA. Was always one of those guys who’s way better in sparring than when I’m actually trying to hurt someone in a fight. 5-1 between MMA, boxing, and kickboxing and my loss was a decision, the only time I tried boxing. Guys are like “why aren’t you in the UFC?” and it would blow my mind. No way I’ll ever be close to that level, right? About a year ago I stopped training, have two sons now and it’s hard to get fired up to be in the gym at 4 am. But I watch this and feel a strong urge to compete again, not just the song but my man Aldo. Dude’s the definition of never quit.
Glad my video can spark so much feeling in you. If its on your mind again its probably a sign to get back into it. Its never hurts to try and you dont want to miss your chance and look back thinking what if
Great vid, great tribute to a legend. He didn't give up after lost his belt against Conor, he came back from the ashes, fought for FW title, and after so many years he's still at the top, now making his way through for that BW title
@@willygg3291 it said lw before. My favorite mma fighter is jose and your right he almost did but the ufc fucked it up. I wish the ufc had more popularity when he was in his prime. The leg kicks were so damn brutal.
If you haven't seen the movie based on Jose Aldo i highly recommend checking it out! one hell of a film and such homage payed to Jose!, Stronger Than The World: A Jose Aldo Story.
One of the more underrated moments is when he faced Urijah Faber, who’s from California, in California and came out to this song. He’s a top 10er all time for me, Conor wouldn’t be where he’s at today if it hadn’t been for Aldo who built a legacy that was unmatched in those lighter weight classes at the time. Ferocious striker, unreal takedown defense, great jiu-jitsu, guy was the full package. I really miss those WEC/early 145lb UFC days.
Um dos maiores de todos os tempos, o que esse lutou n é brincadeira, conor n tem nem metade da história q esse cara fez. Pra mim você sempre será o número 1. Oss
I remember the days when aldo still fights and this used to be his entrance song, it gets me so hyped! my favorite fighter ever in UFC! my childhood idol! the one and only JOSE ALDO
