Joseph is a good dad. He loves kids. He takes care of Mannish Boy in part 3 and Shizuka Joestar in part 4 and literally dropped everything to come to Morioh when he heard about Josuke. He's so good at taking care of kids that he knows a recipe for homemade baby food off the dome. He loves collecting comics and he's a high millionaire or billionaire regardless of the Speedwagon foundation because he's a real estate developer in New York and he's alive at age 91 in Part 6. Not a great husband though.
Joseph works because it's such a contrast to Jonathan in the way that he's rebellious and an asshole while Jonathan is a purehearted gentleman, but it's those traits that ultimately led him to win against the Pillar Men (putting asspulls aside), achieving victory while Jonathan could not, goes to show that maybe flaws can work in one's favor

Just sped off into the distance until he found something, cuz he sure as hell didnt saw where SpeedwaGOON, Stroheim and the Na-{German Soldiers} came from, and why did the {German Army} park their plane on the edge of a cliff? I think both Josuke part 8 is funnier, but not intentionally, he's just a freak, where as Joseph is intentionally hilarious. Part 4 Josuke has to be up there for things like, stealing his dad's wallet and the whole Italian food episode.
