Joseph parker was the first t not get dropped by Anthony Joshua . AJ was dropping everyone like flies at that stage... AJ was 28yrs old and Parker was 26.

You know what, I think you might be right about Zhang potentially beating Joshua. Joseph Parker's adjustments of feinting and constantly moving his head and ducking down really nullified Zhilie Zhang. Same with Wilder. AJ though, he just stands there, and was getting buzzed by Usyk who does NOT have much power. Zhang would only need to land one power punch and I reckon AJ goes down.

I think Joshua beats Zhang but does so by not going toe to toe. He's aware of his suspect chin and will do what he did against Ruiz in the second fight - stay out of range, box, hit and run and frustrate Zhang and let him gas. If they go toe to toe then Zhang wins. Joshua has a chin like Frank Bruno and goes to pieces once it's hit with any force. Zhang actually has a decent chin and absorbed good shots from Parker and Joyce. The fight won't happen anyway - Joshua management knows he may win but too risky

They said Zhangs fists looked like toasters. I disagree that Joshua chin is suspect. It's tough for anyone to take a clean shot from a 250lb man.

welp you're wrong. AJ has been hurt by jabs in more than one fight, AJ is just harder to hit clean and harder to follow up on after he's hurt. AJ always seems to get hurt whenever the first clean punch lands whether it's a jab, hook, straight whatever, he gets stunned on that first hit often BUT they never land the follow up shot which allows him to recover and then he never makes that same mistake again throughout the fight. I mean Usyk hurt him in both fights but AJ always went in defensive mode and allowed himself time to recover.

@jjsyphor8288 have you ever been hit by a 250lb plus man? I have. It hurts even if the punch grazes you. Also, I'm a 250lb man. When I hit someone. They usually go to sleep. Usyk isn't 250lbs. If he was, he probably would have knocked AJ out too.

He ain't wrong, because he ain't leaning into the hype.. AJ has a glass chin and is more robotic compared to parker.. Hrgović hits harder than AJ according to sparring partners.. and Hrgović couldn't stop Zhang at this weight and age.. AJ dropped him in amateurs but Zhang wasn't as heavy and big as now

Zhang can still beat Parker in the rematch. He needs to go all out in the rematch. Once he knocks Parker down, empty the tank because he will not win a 12 round fight. Unless he comes in 40pounds lighter. Parker deserves a rematch with Joshua (because that referee was horrendous last time they fought). Heavyweight boxing on the up. Still waiting for Frank Sanchez to enter the top 5 picture. A very dangerous fighter.

Joshua fought klichiko who had experience and got up of the canvass to win that fight last week he fought the hardest puncher in heavyweight Devision and won yet some fan think zhang beats him. The truth is that Joshua has never earned his credit for what he has done let’s not forget that even in Aj two losses he still gave the opponents a run for their money usyk has never had a close fight until he fought AJ and won split decision. Zhang is powerful but AJ already knocked him out in the amateur rank with little or no experience and you tell me that Aj today would not beat zhang I completely disagree with that statement in saying that Aj is the truth of the Devision

But one thing though when I hear people talk about Joshua is like he don’t got boxing skill only power but people forget that to win gold at the Olympics you have to be skilled I mean even guys that were skilled still came up short for example Amir khan, Keyshawn Davies, Floyd May weather, shakur Stevenson , etc so for Joshua to even win the Olympic gold and become 2 tine champion he did that with skill and power not just power. Zhang is powerful no doubt but as we seen with wilder that at the top tier power alone isn’t enough you got to have a tool box that is deep to hang and compete at the top Aj has both but zhang lacks elite skillset.

Parkers actually 30. But theres gonna be a rematch with zhang. It was really just a bad match up for zhang. Zhangs a very tough fighter. He would smoke a slow mover like tyson fury. I hope zhangs not done yet. But his age is catching up with him

Parker was about 26 though so maybe not at his peak yet. Also has gained a lot of a skills under Andy Lee. Should be a good match up now as he has proven pretty durable. Also is said to have had the flu when he fought Joyce. I rewatched the pre fight press conference and he did sound hoarse prior. Anyway looked sweaty, and unnaturally tired early.
