Every time I watch someone play or replay Earthbound, myself, I cry at the ending. It’s seriously the best, most emotional game. Gahhh! I love Earthbound so much.

I beat earthbound for the first time earlier this year and was one of the most emotional I’ve been finishing a game and seeing this brought those feelings back. Congrats Josh on finishing this beautiful game!

So glad that Josh got to experience the ending without spoilers. The end of this game. My goodness. I will always remember that one time at Camp Fangamer where everyone was watching the finale and shouting "Pray! Pray! Pray!" at the top of their lungs. It was a religious experience. #notACult

VLOG RAID. God this was _so_ much fun to watch. Not just the finale but Josh's entire playthrough. A little agonising when you know what to do and Josh just didn't do it, but that's the beauty of first playthroughs, right? :P I'm also one of those who love seeing people's reactions to my favourite games, and EarthBound has always been one of those for so many reasons. ❤

While I really love the final battle using the pray feature I do wish it had teased it more near the end game because I remember being so confused as to why I wasn't winning against Gygas and then I searched up and found it said pray. It sort of ruined the satisfaction of beating Gygas because it felt so random but seeing the Pokey line on the video show a hint did make me feel less salty but it's still fairly vague. Either way, congrats on beating the game Josh!

Josh's final EarthBound stream really was a wild ride. Like many other viewers, it was tense watching that Giygas battle not knowing when he'd figure it out as well as all the crazy damage that Giygas would cause. He seemed to get extremely lucky with the victory, especially with what it came down to. I actually got very unlucky with my last playthrough, as the instant death became a problem, and I had to try again. Still, what a wild finale for the EarthBound stream.

Does anyone remember what happened in chat during the break after defeating Giygas? I remember Josh saying he'd go on break, then saying something similar to "ending", and then the chat spiraled a lot after

Gosh, Josh beating the game was such an amazing ride. I was only able to catch the last few streams, but man: this was an incredible end to his run. Having you four show up in support and sharing your reactions during the end is astounding. So much fun!!!

I just now beaten EarthBound for the first time on the Switch and it surprised me when I officially ended the War against Giygas and I will go for the Sword of Kings next time. Now on to Mother 1 on the GBA.

Never played Earthbound and I knew I never would (don't like JRPGs) so it was interesting to see the ending. Don't take this the wrong way, but TBH your and Hayley's frustration on the couch at Josh was exactly what it's like to be a Christian seeing people stuck on self-destructive paths when their problems would get solved IF THEY JUST PRAYED! :p
