He used to say that in the beginning of the 2000s when talking about coming up with his sound by combining stuff that doesn't normally go together. "Two wrongs don't make a right but what do fifty wrongs make?" i guess he finally found the answer.
Josh has such a great outlook on how to make music. Specifically how he only wants to make the music for themselves first, and then let it go. Not listening to everyone else, just be happy with it and then let it go.
I guess so. It must be hard to actually work on it on your own with all the media and fan attention though. But I do suppose it is something a lot of artists either say or actually try to do.
One of my all time favourite musicians. From Kyuss to Queens of the Stone Age. To Eagles of Death Metal to Dessert sessions. Them Crooked Vultures and Iggy pop this dude has been the soundtrack to my life for yeras. Great interview by Jonesy.
What a feelgood clip! :) Jonesy's interviews are always great! That's the first interview I've seen with Josh Homme. He seems like a super-cool, down to earth guy. I gotta check out more of his music! \m/
Yes, I don't know why but I've never really bothered listening to much of Joss. He's certainly got a great sense of humour which says a lot to me as many of these big famous names seem to take themselves too seriously.
It's stands as a top performance night, Josh, and fine band, capable and tuned into moment. There's also a fabulous mix of it on the video, and then there's the video - and that's great too, so what's not to like? - I do
I honestly can't recount how many live shows or concerts I've seen over the last 35 years because I've seen so many but I know that band/lineup with Iggy on that tour at the Hollywood Bowl was the best live performance I've ever seen. It's been a couple years since that show and I'm no less certain of that; if anything I'm more sure of it in retrospect.
I like Josh’s point of view. I remember reading Mark Lanegan’s book when Josh went a long for the ride as Mark tried scoring heroin. It was funny because drug dealers thought Josh was an undercover cop.
Chris Salgado No, he said that arctic monkeys would release a record soon, which everyone pretty much guessed anyway. Not like they broke up or anything.
Rhys Thomas I think he had knowledge that Alex was writing the new album and it slipped out of him. You can catch him saying Arctic monkeys......... they’re gonna eventually go back in. It’s like he caught himself before he said any information that would give anything more away
01:20 not sure why but I agree, hahaha 02:38 Joshis great, weirdly sexy and that is because of his talentet I believe, he is far away from perfect but well Who is? Cant wait for musical projects because they all are amazing
They are actually releasing new álbum. It will be called "Concrete and gold". There are live recordings of some of the new songs and they are bloody fantastic.

This is the single worst "interview" I've ever heard Josh be subjected to. Josh is a very interesting dude and has a lot of insights. But whoever this guy is needs to be fired for the extreme boredom he produces. I couldn't wait any longer than 15 minutes for some kind of content whatsoever.
Elliott is obviously some very young idiot trying to wind people up. Just be satisfied that Elliott has made himself look a total moron. Elliott still lives with mum & dad, which says a lot
