John's guitar always sounded like RHCP, even 1990's version of Tiny Dancer was about to turn into Scar Tissue before it was even written. Josh sounds exactly like Jeff Buckley, this is so unexpectedly careful and touching. Crowded House's version is simply beautiful
Feel like John is our Hendrix and Josh is our Buckley honestly. Amazing artists that rocked our socks off and only ever tried to be nice to us all with amazing music... Love these folks... Life would be much more fucking boring and shitty without em!
Spectacular performer Josh is, as time goes on we are going to see so many more people find and appreciate how hard worked with RHCP. It is hard to find Josh's unique qualities vocally, musically and excitement all wrapped into one musician, let alone his abilities on multiple instruments. Those will be some big shoes to fill. My gutt feelings tell me that although John may bring his one of a kind guitar 🎸 sound back which is great and all but will wind up missing Josh more in the long run. Dammit! Can we for the love of god please just have both of them and call it a band? Josh can accompany all of these great musicians and bands, after 10+ years touring, 2-3 albums depending on if you view I'm Beside You as their 2nd album w Josh. All of that time with the band and he's all of a sudden not included in 'the band' anymore it makes no sense and is completely the most disrespectful thing they could have ever done to Josh. How I see it even though he may have been asked or hired to play the lead guitarist role, he had already been a backup pianist and guitar for them. So no if I was Flea or Anthony I would have kept him and added John, if at that point John doesn't want to play due to whatever so be it. It would show he wasn't committed fully no matter the circumstance! I'm stepping down off of my soapbox now... 😬😤🤬😑😐🧘♂️🤤🤐
Looked at the track lists... Saw that one in particular. Listened to that one first. Don't regret it. Amazing song and he did a sick job. Love this guy!
I wrote on the previous video (a cover on Wicked Games by Josh) that I fell in Love with Josh.. But now I've heard Radiohead cover..and OMG...He has pierced my heart with arrows of love again and now forever... ( I am a huge Thom Yorke and RH fan but love RCHP too.) Josh you are awesome!
Wow, the disrespect of labelling 'Don't Dream It's Over' as being by Paul Young over a picture with the New Zealand flag in it. Paul Young! Christ. You did put my favourite Josh cover @ #1, though. I think Io Sono Quel Che Sono should have been #2, personally - otherwise a great list!
