I hope he outlasts Brady as a QB. Wouldn't that be something Brady retires at 45 but everyone forgets about McCown. McCown retires in 2025 as the oldest QB in the league. Then goes on to be a QB coach somewhere. His story is very similar to Doug Pederson, and we've seen the success he's had.

I was so angry as a Bears fan. We've got Cutler, a guy who never did anything in Chicago, who has finished out his contract. On the other hand we've got McCown, a guy who just threw 13 TD's and only 1 pick. What does the team decide to do? Cut McCown and sign Jay to a 7 year 100 million dollar contract! At least we got the hawks and at the time the Basketball MVP. If you choose to like the cubs you got them too, I choose to hate them and root for the sox, even though they suck. Even though we have that it still doesnt mean as much as a good bears team to me. Hopefully we can have our truly first good franchise QB in Trubisky but we need to help him out with weapons and an o line first. To say we got 2 top 5 runningbacks in the history of football and maybe 1, if even 1 QB in the top 50 is sad, and Jim McMahon was a game manager more than anything else not to mention in his prime he got injured by the god damn packers. Hooe for Trubisky.

Chances are he will never see this, but Josh McCown, you are probably my favorite QB of all time, if not for the fact that I relate to you by having had 4 different college majors and 3 schools in 3 years. You may not have the ultra-inpressive stats or a franchise QB legacy like the Mannings or Tom Brady, but you have the grit, knowledge, and determination of a legend. I would be lying if I said I dont look up to you.

People are so in love with Cutler's arm and the throws he can make, that they pretty much forget about everything he is lacking as a QB and a leader after he throws a few passes.

Coming back to re-watch this after the most recent video NFL Films did on Josh McCown. I gotta say the lumberman feels like such a perfect ending to Josh’s career (besides the injury). And I wish nothing but the best for this man in his future endeavours.

When I think of a consummate Professional QB who can replace a starter and keep the team winning or even starting Josh comes to mind. For my $$ he has been one of the most dependable backup starters in the NFL, & a Dam fine person!!

Back in 03, you only needed one foot if it was deemed the defender pushed you out purposely to prevent you from getting ur 2nd foot down...thankfully they got rid of this dumb rule after the 07 season
