ohio state could still allow only 9 to 10 PPG georgia did that the whole season expect for the sec title vs bama they allowed 41 but they still only allowed 10 PPG so oregon could hang 38 but OSU could still be a great defense
OSU would have to pitch numerous shutouts defensively or hold teams to 7 points or less. In 2021, UGA held 8 teams to 7 points or less (3 of those games were by shutout). If OSU pulls that off, credit to them, but I'll be interested in seeing how good their opposing offenses are.

Yet michigans defense sacked bama 6 times and held them to 20 points most of which came from good field position provided by michigans special teams miscues and held washington who had a top 5 qb top 5 wr room 1100 yard rb and the best oline in the country to 13 points. Also most of the best defensive players in the nfl were big 10 players.

I think both texas and bama are rated too high (Not saying they're bad, they're both very good, just rated a bit high), but texas has about as easy of an SEC schedule as possible. So a georgia/texas SEC championship is a pretty safe bet.
@bamahammer3660 just as far as where I think teams should be ranked in the 1st AP. I'm having trouble deciding who I'd rank higher between bama and TX (leaning bama higher), but the teams I'd for sure rank above them both are GA, OSU, OR, Mich, ND, and Ole miss. I'm leaning utah and PSU. And possibly FSU and mizzou. Like I said, I think they're both very good teams, and think bama is probably the better of the 2, but a new outside staff replacing the GOAT (arguably) is sure to have a bump or 2 first year. Having difficulty deciding just how much it'll affect them. While still very good, I don't think Texas is as good as last year. So 3 is definitely too high. How much worse is what I'm still trying to figure out. So have them both in the 7-10 range. All just my opinion, which is what u asked for.
