After sifting through Cody's new album, I heard this one and immediately thought "WOW I've gotta see who wrote this one" Amazing write, man! Your line about the puppy in the shade & paralleling it with your wife not being able to turn away a stray: it is a textbook description of my fiancee Imao. I showed her the song all enthusaistically & it was such a wholesome moment watching her reaction to that last chorus haha. Anywho, congrats on the song cut & thanks for a timeless song that we all get to play on repeat 🙌🏽
