at 40:50, I totally misunderstood and heard "you play BACKFLIP and CUESTICK, and you win" and was like huh?

It’s “Q-stick” which means your opponent gets stuck with the Q, can’t play out, and you get 20 points when it’s left on your opponent’s rack at the end of the game
