If Josh was truly committed to the balanced build he would only level when he has enough runes to level all 8 stats. Not very balanced when some of the stats are ahead of the others. ;)

Josh should feel free to play whatever he feels like playing, and people that don't like it can go kick rocks. His explanation for why he chose not to continue playing ME3 is fair and reasoned, and anyone complaining now that he's not playing it, consider: Do you want to watch him be miserable over a game you love? Can't we all just come together instead and hate the way he levels in rpgs now since New Vegas?

Someone pointed out that when the grace hits your hand you can hear the sounds of a mausoleum turtle....hinting that you the "tarnished of no renown"...could very well be one of the Demi-Gods. It's just a theory...but I love it.

leaving ME3 alone is... fair. Josh went in for an RPG in ME1, then ME2 slaps you and says "you have a choise, up choise or down choise. the middle is there for flavour." then ME3 is just, "you made your choise already, screw you." the only redemption is ME3 at least has nicer feeling guns.

Can't be invaded in Elden Ring if you don't summon other players. So being offline is only going to remove Bloodstains/world Comments.

The amount of absolute disregard for human decency in these comments is really tragic. Imagine telling someone they need to spend their time playing a game they don’t like because *you* want to see them play it. If an episode of a tv show isn’t entertaining, or isn’t what you want to watch… maybe just don’t watch it instead of spewing vitriol at the creator.

I know Josh wont see this but you can CLEARLY see he's been working on his physique. Genuinely looks like a budget Henry Cavil, muscles and all.

Can't blame him. I did enjoy ME3's campaign (enough), but I find the multiplayer to be the best part of the game. No plot disappointments, and so many cool classes.

In fairness about ME3: As a big fan, honestly ME3 is really hard to get into. I actually stopped playing halfway through at launch, even before the ending controversy started. Comig back to it some time later (after all the fixes) I did ultimately enjoy it. More for the gameplay than the story however, I have so many issues with it.

I played Mass Effect trilogy years after it released, similar to Josh. English, not being my native language, meant that I missed all the drama that surrounded the ME3. Even so, I found the conclusion to be rather disappointing. The fact that in terms of gameplay it was very similar to ME2 and in terms of atmosphere it was very similar to Michael Bay's transformers certainly didn't make me appreciate it more. It indeed made me think "what was it even all for", when all endings basically disregarded whatever I did before for the most part. I replayed the whole trilogy soon after, with mods, mainly to experience ME3 with the "good ending" mod. It was an improvement, for sure, but the fact that its unofficial kinda made the whole experience even more disappointing.

ME3 really missed alot of heart and soul. action shooter game with narrative choices, but nothing that matters really, not an rpg. I havent beaten ME3 since it came out, 2 is definitely the best, i remember how mad people were at the ending back in the day, and how different it was.

3 hours in and it seems to me there's a big chance to cheese some souls by killing the big dragon (forgot its name) that just sits down and takes it.

Elden Josh of the Strife Ring!

Im sorry josh but i need to put this out there. Steam has integrated controller support. Most if not all xbox controllers will work and ps3, ps4 and ps5 controllers works as well just fine natively. I played elden ring with both a ps4 and ps5 controller and they all work just fine without any fiddling, just plug and play. and for any older games struggling to detect the newer controller use ds4, it makes it plug and play immediantily without any fiddling.

I was really looking forward to all three Mass Effect streams in one video. It's okay. I'll wait.

Yeah mass effect really isn't very consistent. The first game was brilliant in every aspect except the gunplay. The second game improved on that, but while I enjoy the side-quest nature of it, that's ultimately all it was. Third game though; they went "Holy shmeckles we were making a trilogy! And now we gotta wrap this shit up in about a year! SCRAMBLE THE PLOT!" and the plot did indeed get scrambled.

ME was an RPG with TPS mechanics, ME2 was a Cover based TPS with RPG elements. ME3 is just a Shooter, and a pretty outdated one at that, even back when it came out 😂 it was literally made for the normies who got bored on the first game.

Mass Effect 3 is not a good RPG, and is barely above average as a game in general. Good combat does not replace horrible dialogue and a meaningless main story. Nothing is of consequence if the end of the story turns into "Pick an ending, I guess". Josh is completely justified in nipping it in the bud before it gets even worse.

Look you better be playing this game the way I want you to be having fun and not just playing to find your own fun. As you know, this might be an open world, it should only be played in a very linear fashion.

I recently did my final ME run and stopped after 2 I knew I wouldn't enjoy 3 at all

For what it's worth, I think Josh would actually enjoy Mass Effect Andromeda, it is basicly "we have Galaxy Quest at home" the video game, a group of people from the milky way find themselves in a far off place, having to solve the problems of all the new alien races, because they can't do it themselves, mixed in with the best combat of the entire franchise (no more classes, can just mix abilities as you see fit) There are NO REAPERS, instead the big baddie is a green bug alien thing, just like Galaxy Quest (the bad guy from Galaxy Quest voiced Angry Gramps in ME2) I'm not suggesting Josh play Andromeda on stream, or anytime soon, but maybe down the line at some point, when he is no longer soured by his ME3 experience (I don't really agree with him on ME3, but opinions are like butts, we all got one, and not all are the same) Andromeda is an entirely new adventure, with the familiar race we know, and some new ones we dont, I personally think the companions and their loyalty missions (of which there are multiple per companion) are really good, the story itself imo was going someplace really cool when EA decided to pull the plug on the whole thing, after having shipped the game off to die at the hands of an inexperienced studio, forced to make a mass effect game, in an engine they had zero experience with :( In my opinion Andromeda is a good solid 7/10, sadly with so many games that's just not enough for most people, I personally really enjoyed my time with it though :) On a random tangent, Josh noted the gunplay was way different from the previous two games, that's because EA was too cheap to keep paying for Unreal Engine, and forced BioWare to make Mass Effect 3 with Frostbyte, their own engine, the one they use for Battlefield and the new Battlefront games.

Yet another jumping heavy attack playthrough...incredibly boring to watch. expected more diverse gameplay from Josh, Booooo.

As much as I love ME, I'm glad he ended this run. It was clear from the start that he was intentionally playing it differently just to piss off chat. Ignoring conversations and side quests, choosing the CQC class and playing it as a sniper THEN switching to the long range class and playing it as melee, complaining the whole way that it wasn't fun. This was just hard to watch, hopefully he'll enjoy Elden Ring.
