This was simply amazing. Josh Homme/QOTSA are in my opinion still criminally underrated. QOTSA is by far one of the greatest bands of the last century.
Simen Almaas and definitely one of the most versatile... They've seamlessly gone from album to album, from one iteration (in terms of members) to the other, and yet they always sound distinctive enough... And that's without even mentioning how great their music is yet...
I don't believe they are underrated. It's just that mass entertainment patterns are measured with a very low base rule. QOTSA is definitely one of the best bands of our times.
I don’t know if I support this... last album... like clockwork has this slow piano songs that are amazing but in this records I do not identify anymore... I wish that josh would have kept himself dusty and not becoming a rich model
@@daveydudely9954 yeah it has something there but then no, miss old punk josh more early queens that’s my kind of music... he did a good job with piano music in like clockwork but here I don’t like it...
I miss you now, what's come over me? We're hostages of geography The wait is long, and heavy too Despite what you're accustomed to I know that life moves on, that's what scares me so Have no intentions of letting go Only us, no one in the world Only us, no one in the world I better do something, move earth and sky And patiently, sweetly, with all of my mind I sing only for you To the beat of my footsteps in the night Close your eyes and dream me home Forever mine, I'll be forever yours Always, evermore, and on and on Always, evermore, and on and on Always, evermore, and on and on Always, evermore There's no magic bullet, no cure for pain What's done is done, 'til you do it again Life in pursuit of a nameless prey I've been so close, I'm so far away It's so hard to explain, so easy to feel I need you now, nothing is real Save me from the villains of circumstance Before I lose my place Close your eyes and dream me home Forever mine, I'll be forever yours I'll be forever yours I'll be forever yours Always, evermore, and on and on Always, evermore, and on and on Always, evermore, and on and on Always, evermore
I loved this song already, but this version is fucking amazing and I could listen to it all day long. In my opinion Josh Homme has one of the best voices in rock business. Listening to this song with headphones on high volume causes me goosebumps and even other reactions. 😉
This is so good, he's really impressive here under the spotlight and without all the usual sounds masking any imperfections. 100% brilliant and chilling vocal performance Josh!
He looked disappointed with himself at the end there. Bet he's his own worst critic behind his laid back persona! Shouldn't be, best performance I've seen on Jools in years! I'm QOTSA for life.
CANNIBoy he’s a real perfectionist when it comes to his music. Like if it came down to taking 10 years to make an album he’d do it. It’s admirable if I’m honest
Again that sweet beautiful voice stopped me breathing... I saw them live for the first time ever in Manchester this month and it was really interesting to see such a mixture of people there, some sitting quietly listening, others,.me included, dancing and singing all night but I was moved to tears when they performed this. The place became still and thousands of like minded humans came together singing this lament. It was beautiful
I always see him looking badass in media but I laughed so hard last time I saw Josh on a small gig in Poland when he wore hawaiian shirt in the middle of winter :-D
When my father was in his last days on this earth this song would come on my Playlist constantly..i thought it was a sign that he was almost gone😭RIP Dad
This song means a lot to me, my ex and i lived in two different parts of Sweden(she up north and i down south) and this song just said all i felt for her and how we felt. Now every time i hear the song the tears are starting to come.
I love this version so much. It's very raw and stripped back. He looks like he's not best happy with it or self-conscious at moments in the performance - I don't know why. I couldn't take my eyes off him - he is mesmerising and he acted both arrogant and vulnerable. I play this more than anything else because it's wonderful. The amazing Joshua Homme - sexy beast and amazing singer/musician/songwriter etc.
I watched this when it first aired and recently thought about it again so put it on my to do list to watch. Man, what a special performance, better than I remembered. Beautiful version, I don’t feel this album gets the credit it deserves. Right, I’m going to watch again now.
Shit he is note perfect everytime..............Wow. Magnificent! That made me go quiet........... and contemplative..............Beautiful piece of music
