Jotaro Kujo, A Stardust Crusader that lives long as a protector of the Joestar Bloodline, to be rid of the evil that connects with the curse of the bloodline and lives with the forever memory of DIO, the main rival of the Joestars. He uses his Stand, Star Platinum, to fight.
DIO, once known as Dio Brando, a vampire who rejected his humanity to become a ruler of time and evil, using the body of Jonathan Joestar and planning for around a hundred years until Jotaro Kujo, great great grandfather of Jonathan got in his way.
DIO lost to Jotaro in Stardust Crusaders (when Jotaro was 17/18), but some people have made complaints about DIO being able to win. But what if DIO went up against Jotaro from Stone Ocean? Jotaro would be around 42 years of age at this time.

READ PINNED COMMENT FOR EXPLANATION: Honestly, these people in the comments can’t even read to save a life, I said read for the explanation and they still go on about something I’ve already proven wrong, without even reading this in the first place. Again, this is Jotaro from Stone Ocean, so I will include all feats, abilities, skills and more from Jotaro’s younger days (Stardust Crusaders & Diamond Is Unbreakable). Physical Strength to DIO: The World & Star Platinum are on par with strength, but DIO himself takes it, as he scales to being stronger than Tarkus in Part 1, who lifted up a boulder or cliff with a finger. I forgot which one it was, but you can check yourself, I think I explained it in ‘DIO Vs Homelander.’ People might think his physical strength weakened because he had to switch bodies, but literally carried a road roller without using his Stand. EDIT: Physical Strength now goes to both. Reason is because Stands are meant to represent the strengths/powers from their own masters, and the Road Roller feat is now debunked because of the weight and mass of objects in time stop. Star Platinum and The World are meant to be on par too. Speed, Combat, Agility, Stamina & Endurance to Both: DIO and Jotaro appear to be on par with speed, both moving at or over the speed of light, scaling to as fast or faster than Polnareff. Their Combat seems to be the same as well, as Star Platinum and The World appear with the same fighting style and agility is the same. Stamina and Endurance has never been said or proven to be different, as they can both catch up with each other without breaking a sweat. Durability to DIO: As I said, Jotaro and DIO are pretty much as durable as each other, but DIO has a high healing factor meanwhile Jotaro can’t heal. Jotaro however, can sorta get the better of DIO’s healing ability, as he did in the end of their fight in Part 3. IQ, Battle IQ & Skill to Jotaro: Jotaro outsmarted Elder D’Arby (the world’s greatest gambler), studied DIO’s history, marine biology, the Joestar Bloodline/History, was smart to plant a magnet on DIO during the Part 3 fight, used the secret Joestar technique, figured out weaknesses to a couple of enemies (especially what he did with Kira’s Father) and going onto what he did in Part 6, he managed to put a fragment of a Stand Arrow in a pendant he gave to Jolyne, used his time stops wisely and imagine what he could’ve done if he didn’t have anyone to protect. No, the whole ‘Anasui pulling Jotaro up before Made In Heaven kills him’ doesn’t apply, I’m talking about knowledge/IQ but will speak about that after. With skill to Jotaro, he does have a skill within his Stand that isn’t just Time Stop, but is Star Finger. Hax, Abilities & AP/DC to DIO: DIO has a healing factor, has his laser eyes and a Hermit Purple-like Stand (which Araki stated that he did still have the laser eyes). With Destructive Capabilities, Star Platinum & The World would have the same, but because of DIO capabilities as himself and his own abilities that don’t apply to The World, he would have more. I heard Attack Potency can also be attack ranges, which DIO would still have more. Star Platinum’s range is only 2 meters (could possibly have increased over time but I doubt it) and The World’s is around 5 or 10. Feats to Jotaro: I don’t need to explain this. Experience to Jotaro: Okay, so I mean general experience and not just “aGe 🤓,” because in battle and much more, Jotaro would take it. He’s been involved in battles and the history of the Joestars for almost 40 years. Only thing he doesn’t take is Age Experience, meanwhile most of DIO’s life was being stuck inside a coffin. For now, it’s all considered a draw, but whoever would actually win is Extreme Diff. I think Jotaro would win because of his knowledge on DIO and knowing his weaknesses. Now, I do wanna go back to when I mentioned that Jotaro could’ve proven himself to be much more than what he was in Part 6 if he didn’t have to protect his daughter, and that’s a fact. But people then speak about Made In Heaven being able to almost kill Jotaro if Anasui didn’t pull him up. Remember that Jotaro didn’t know his time stop was shortened and if he was aware, he’d get the better of Made In Heaven due to his strength and close combat. EDIT: And I want to refer to “vampires having more stamina.” That is a misconception just like saying Jotaro has gotten weaker. There’s no information that says DIO has more stamina just because he has a vampire, and from looking in more scenes, DIO was literally panting for breath and sweating after getting his legs broken by Jotaro. And resting in a coffin for almost a hundred years isn’t a stamina feat either, that’s just him hibernating or sleeping as if he’s in a pod, not aging. Stamina is the overall cost and actions that are frequently used in fighting, working out, carrying shit depending on the number of times you carry something, etc… that is stamina, meanwhile resting in a coffin isn’t.

Personally I believe DIO deserves IQ as he came up with the heaven plan, furthermore he also commanded a army of stand users while also having a perfect backup plan, Throughout JJBA DIO was calculated, and he only lost because of his massive ego/partial insanity

@@Operator441 yeah that is a good statement, but because of DIO being blinded by his own self awareness and superiority, I thought Jotaro would have more. Jotaro himself also knew about DIO’s Diary and there’s no doubt he would’ve learned a lot from it, being useful to stop Pucci from attaining MIH (or even C-Moon) but he was in a memory loss coma for the entire part. 😭

@@Operator441 I do agree with the fact Star Platinum got smaller, but he never got weaker, it’s only a misconception ever since Star Platinum in Part 4. Besides, Jotaro does have the ability to fasten his heart rate to build up some intensity in his own movements.

Jotaro has less physical strength in part six but he has much more mastery over the time stop. As you may know, the time stop was drastically shortened in the fight with pucci but even then, Jotaro was still able to manage to hold the time stop for the full five seconds and sometimes he was even able to push it farther. Not only that but it looked like he was able to time stop pretty constantly which is why I believe Jotaro wins

There’s no information saying DIO has more stamina as a vampire, and DIO was panting for breath and sweating after getting his legs broken by Jotaro. Besides, Jotaro’s stamina still seems to be on par with DIO’s.

@@Xortarotands and the users own physical state reflect their dtamina to some extent, vampires by themselves have way more stamina than a human or even a master hamon user. They legit don't gotta worry about it at all depending on the amount of blood/life energy they have drained. If people like polnareff who are very active can use their stand for a while without tiring out, the opposite thing would happen with people aging (which was also proven by Grateful dead) Jotaro in P3 was 17 and biologocally/physically was at his prime, during stone ocean after a longass coma his stand stamina/endurance got nerfed which again makes sense. Hamon users who have good physical health would also have more stamina, more than a human atleast since they don't tire out so quickly. Vampires even less, even dio demonstrated that with the "Stand power at maximum" which means he doesnt have to worry about that anymore (also having a longer TS) TLDR Stand stamina is directly correlated to ones own physical attributes, aging nerfs stand stamina, vampires have more stamina un general and can therefore use it. On a unrelated note, part 6 SP is said to be faster than light which would also mean he is Faster than TW and SC both from P3. And no, SC isnt faster the light, if he wqs he could have easily slashes Hanged man any time. He just bested him at his own game. Another thing, SP never even lost his physical strenght (especially since he was able to crack SHA which itself is a "unbreakable" stand. Even in P4 the "rusty" dialogue was legit just talking about his TS since he apparently ddidnt stop time for 10 years. It would however make sense he is faster since his development stat went down so id say P4 SP is already faster than TW. And DIO didnt "carry" the road roller, he picked it up in TS where it was shown nothing has weight which means jack, he probably could pick it up with his hands but that still ain't a strenght feat because the road rllder didnt have any weight.

@@gocaivanovic8415 Vampires in JoJo or people like DIO aren’t stated or proven in the world of JJBA to have more stamina than the average human, or it’s that Jotaro himself has incredible stamina to par himself with DIO, only difference is healing factor and immortality. Just because he was in a coma doesn’t mean his stamina/endurance weakened, he was still stable enough to fight, only issue was he had his neck slashed and he just wasn’t fast enough for Pucci, someone with immeasurable to almost infinite speed using Made In Heaven’s acceleration. Losing strength and speed throughout parts is only a misconception, the only weakened ability of Jotaro’s (P4) was the time stop, and if he was weakened with everything else, Araki would’ve had the intent to keep him in every other P4 episode as a natural fighter, but only got in 2/3 fights. With Kira’s father, he used his knowledge/IQ to beat him, with Sheer Heart Attack, he used knowledge. It’s not that he gets weaker as he ages, it’s that he becomes more wise and less brutal because of his care to every other human being. It’s like that sentence he once said: “The human species destroys as it lives, but your heart is kinder than anything in this world.” Something similar to that at least. In Part 6, the only problem he lived through was that he didn’t know Whitesnake was present during Johngali. A’s fight and he was protecting Jolyne. After the coma, he still one-punched Pucci to the floor and Stand barraged with almost to around light speed, and The World can attack at almost to around light speed. As a strength feat though, in Part 6 I think Star Platinum managed to break open metal bars. Part 3 Jotaro was brutal, relentless and unwise with his actions, but still managed to win by keeping his composure and DIO being too cocky. Part 6 Jotaro can still be relentless, but more wise with his actions, strategic and know DIO’s pros and cons. And of course the road roller would have weight, everything in the time stop would still have its weight, but it’s gravitational movement changed. It’s like being in time stop, a normal person trying to pick up a car and still failing, or a bit of it is pulled up, but frozen in time so it can’t land back down on the ground. And I have already had thoughts Part 4 Jotaro was faster, hearing his Stand Barrage, but to conclude, Jotaro after his coma never really changed physically as much, even his Time Stop increased from 2 (at the beginning of Stone Ocean) to 5. That’s why I use feats from previous parts because it’s his capabilities. DIO was one of the only people to actually make Jotaro pissed 100%, and can still do it at 42 years of age.

@@Xortaro Vampires are as fast as cheetahs, have faster reaction time and are way stronger and basically biologically perfect which makes them have a lot more stamina, it's unloocking the secrets of your brain/potential. Their bodies are just factually better, they don't even age it makes sense for them to have way higher stamina. Like even Jotaro in P3 got tired during Anubis fight and was sweating profusely during it, and nor TW or SP were Lightspeed during P3, they were below SC even and he was slower than Hanged man. In TS there is no gravity and nothing has any mass, legit Dio pushed people with no force really and they still just fell on thr ground. There js no resistance of any kind in time stop. Everything in time stop was shown to be completely weightless. [[Also dios whole body apart from his head was still Jonathans human body, so he still really shouldn't be able to pick it up if it was outside of TS]] Again if this is P6 Jotaro during MIH his own stat for endurance went down from an A to a E. It just means he can't use his stand as much, it didn't get weaker or faster or anything it's just more draining to do. Especially since Jotaro is now in his 40s, the older you are the less stamina un general you have and therefore your stand suffers indirectly

@@gocaivanovic8415 the stand stats to be fair aren’t very useful, and stamina wasn’t his problem in the Anubis fight, it was that Silver Chariot and Anubis both together were slowly gaining speed and becoming speedily superior to Jotaro/Star Platinum. I’m pretty sure DIO pushed people to the ground because of how strong he is as a vampire? As a Stand User too. Shoving people and knocking them to the floor, almost reminds me of when he easily broke a guy’s arm with no force when outside the time stop. If there was no weight on anything at all in time stop, crushing Jotaro with the Road Roller wouldn’t have even mattered in DIO’s perspective. If it was, then DIO was still strong enough to move the road roller around in zero gravity without losing control.

Let's analyze a bit. Jotaro is older than his version that we have seen in star dust Crusaders, but he is smarter and more strategic when it comes to fighting than his young version, He will have fewer abilities than his first version, but having already had a lasting battle with Dio in the past would have a greater advantage knowing all his tricks, in addition to his 5 seconds of stopping the time of his already trained and experienced star platinum, on the other hand Dio with his the world does not have as many skills as the video says, Why, as if the world was barely 2 or 3 chapters, we didn't see all his capabilities, maybe he will have had some star platinum abilities like his star finger, But we'll never know unless Araki (The creator of jojo's) shows more skills than we could have seen of the world, It must be emphasized that this version of Jotaro would have the abilities of the world why as we have seen (now I contradict myself with what I said about trained star platinum)Jotaro after the fight against Dio would stop using his star platinum until Diamond Is Unbrekable and Stone Ocean, which would weaken the abilities of star platinum and would leave them as if it were the version of the beginnings of Stardust Crusaders but as I said before, he is more experienced,while Dio is only 4 years old with his stand Jotaro would have been over 23 years old with star platinum which is a long time, enough to be a master stand. There is no doubt that Jotaro would win by very little, he would be badly injured but if he would win why Dio, although in part 3 a more mature form is shared compared to part 1, We must not forget that he is still a damn psychopath and sometimes he fights without thinking, so old Jotaro would win, badly injured but he would win.

Part 6 Jotaro's Star Platinum is more weaker than Prime Jotaro's Star Platinum. He has to use time stop within range, Prime Jotaro can spam it like Dio.

physical strength goes to Jotaro. only the araki art style has changed. Star Platinum is still going strong. For example, any stand in stand 8 may be stronger than the stand in section 3 (physical strength)

In second place, Jotaro had many opportunities to finish off Pucci, such as: When he use Star Platinum to hit Pucci after stopping time and saving Jolyne from being shot, if his strength was the same as in Stardust Crusaders Pucci with that hit would have his skull cracked, something that would kill him instantly.

I love Jojo it is my second favorite Anime but holy shit Jotaro won with the most plot armor. It’s the same stand but dios a vampire so he boosts all of the worlds stats so he wins in every stat, he also outspeeded star platinum multiple times he’s a vampire so he has far greater stamina than humans (searched it up to prove it), and he wins in endurance since he’s a fucking vampire also wins in durability, bc he’s a fucking vampire not to mention jotaro is extremely weak in part 6 compared to any other part so dio would easily out power him. The only thing jotaro should win here is experience but even that is debatable. Dio also thought about the heaven plan and the exact time and coordinates while inside of a fucking coffin, so he gets IQ not to mention once dio figured out that jotaro could move in time stop dio made sure to never go close to him ever again and even used a road roller to separate distance between them (stop sign scene doesn’t count as dio thought he was dead) and after jotaro busted his head he was acting all confused and scared crawling on the floor when the entire time he was putting his ear against the floor to hear if a car was coming and then used it to go towards Joseph’s body which was his objective after his head injury and even baited jotaro into punching him to Joseph’s body. BIQ ARE TIED or one is barely smarter than the other. Dio wins in iq bc of heaven plan as I alr explained and I would have given jotaro IQ or have tied IQ if he didn’t sacrifice the entire universe for his horny daughter, that was the lowest iq think he could have done in that situation. On second thought IQ Is tied. Overall the way you gave the wasn’t bad since u explained why in the comments but besides maybe 1-4 stats this wasn’t very accurate. Jotaro barely won in part 3 only bc he figured out he could stop time otherwise he would be dead. So he had to completely surprise his opponent by stopping time. So if the part 3 dio greatest high fought part 6 jotaro he’s gonna win easily bc he alr knows he can stop time and won’t fall for the trick again (part 3 was also jotaros strongest state) and you think the same heavily nerfed character could beat him while being at his weakest state with no bs ability stealing surprise attacks/tricks up his sleeve when he could barely even win in his strongest? 👎

It depends on how you’re setting the story. Jotaro wins because DIO has no experience with fighting Jotaro and is unaware of his weakness. However, if it were a rematch, DIO would probably learn his lesson and take the win.

I think we all forget that dio is a vampire and not a human, meaning he doesn’t get tired nor does he need to eat actual food, or drink water. Thus meaning he has infinite stamina and endurance.

I think for the most part it'll be in jotaro's edge. Last time he was figuring out dios ability, and being able to use his own. A lot of the fight was jotaro trying to find a weakness, so while the surprise factor will be gone, jotaro woipd find a way being a joestar

Its seriously hard to decide... Jotaro was able to timestop for around 12 seconds in part 3 if you remember, when dio was celebrating on roadroller and when time stops jotaro appeirs behind him and he said 12 seconds passed. Plus he was fighting against twgh, after part 3 he lost timestop duration from 12 to 3 seconds, than later part 6 to 5 seconds. But jotaro got some tactics in part 6 in his 40s so its hard to decide.

He didnt stop time for 12 seconds, he even said himself he stopped time at the 9 second mark, so depending whether the talking counted as time being used, it lasted 2-5 seconds.

I mean, he never really changed from Part 3, except for the fact he had become wiser, smarter and can actually hit hard without getting pissed all the time. But there’s no doubt it’s still possible to get him pissed off. He has the same stamina as DIO because there was never any information saying DIO has more stamina, or that vampires have more stamina. Me going in for a hardball on Jotaro, he is pretty much on par with DIO himself, only thing he doesn’t take is physical strength to his own body (not his Stand) and healing factor. And of course, the basic vampiric abilities.

Experience joes to jotaro hands down in battle experience he had been battling stand users on and off for 30 or so years whilst dio had about a few weeks worth of battle experience in phantom blood was sealed away for a hundred year then got some stand battle experience which I probaly estimate wasn’t a lot.

Honestly if we are doing power scaling, I’d say Dio wins since he has better timestop control and part 6 jotaro has weaker stats for a better time stop, not to mention the lack of training after part 3 (excusing part 4). If we take their characters as a factor, jojo might win since the only reason he won in part 3 was because of plot armor, perfect stats, and dio being cocky. Part 6 jojo is obviously smarter then part 3 jojo because of experience, he knows his limitations, and is still pretty good with his stand. However he needs to catch his breath between each timestop, we don’t know if he can still move in frozen time since he doesn’t train anymore. He’s older, however he still moves pretty damn fast and would’ve killed pucci if jolyne wasn’t threatened. But this is my take lol

Jotaro from stone ocean can beat dio Rage Amp jotaro part 3 was putting holes through dios awakend body. He's has a five second ts and knows how to use it plus he still has the same strenght and speed. The dura drop is debatable and in part 4 kira said his punches made time look like it was at a stand still. Jotaro wins

I think jotaro has an advantage since he just fights and uses ts more effectively, he doesnt waste half the fight bragging about his power. Normally dio would win, but because dio cant help but test his power, jotaro will use that chance to win.

ngl i kinda like jotaro's nerf not because i think hes too powerful i think it shows a natural effect because you're not always gonna be powerful and at your peak forever it shoes the older you get the more power you had then starts to go due to aging.
