Speaking as a voter: I don't give a tiny rats ass about small boats. What I care about is being able to afford my heating, food bill and rent. To be able to access effective mental health support and to get a GP appointment not being put through a call centre. That's not being caused by immigrants legal or otherwise. It's down to these Muppets who've been in power for 13 years.
@@jasonthomas-fournillier4276oh they get it. They would rather get the population to focus elsewhere so that they can continue to drain the life out of us behind our backs
This explains why this is front and center of government policy and the Sun / Mail's front pages - use discourse to stop people asking questions about what you are going to do about the cost of living crisis.
Totally agree energy bill doubled in a year earning less money than 5 years ago. I don’t see how sending 100 people to Rwanda and taking a similar number back is going to improve my life
British people frustrations: - Cost of living - Inflation - NHS on its knees - Police ineffective except at issuing speeding tickets (personal gripe) Sunak: “WeRe sToPpiNg sOme bOatS”
745,000 net migration puts pressure on all of those issues you have just mentioned. We have no money because dipshits in this country wanted a lockdown for 2 years followed by Slava Fricking Ukraine and millions spent daily on immigrants staying in 4* hotels mixed with a healthy dose of corruption and people wonder why we have no money for public services.
Immigration is also a major concern for people - especially those who live in towns and cities. This is not to say that the points you have raised are also incredibly important to the British public.
France, UK, Canada, Sweden, Ireland, Italy, Germany, all of these nations have 2 things in common. One of those is mass illegal invasions of foreign people. Can you guess the other?
Which tory hasnt had the title of ''promoted well above his/her ability'' Cameron, Truss, BJob, sunnak, HandCock, Mogg, That fat woman who smokes cigars and many more of course.
It's even more chilling that they are seriously contemplating coming out of the ECHR so that they can bypass human right laws. This legislation is meant to circumvent human rights laws that previous immigrants challenged the government over. Whenever the Tories come to a blockade because "The law" won't allow them to do something heinous, they just change it.
well it is.. legislation and bureaucrasy is blocking him from taking action to stop the boats..so it's like a merry go around.. what's chilling about it?
@@pokiscro The bit I don't understand is total immigration in the last year was at 672000, small boats was 44460, that is 6% of total immigration. Why is this country obsessed with the smallest percentage of immigration, when people who enter on holiday visa's and don't leave is in the 100's of thousands. It's like a made up problem to solve
Sickening distraction tactics again. All they know is cynicism and deflection. How can anybody expect to move the country in a positive direction with any of these cretins?
To be fair as soon as he loses the next election, he'll resign as an MP, get on a flight to California & take his very nice pension and benefits and walks into a huge salaried job with his wife's firm.
Using his logic I have solved the climate crisis. Today was cold and by my records that means the world is not getting hotter. My record stands for itself
@@andycoombes161Explain this please, I’m very hopeful that you will be the one to actually qualify this statement with some actual, clear facts. I’m bored of the people who just trot this out but don’t have any evidence to prove it.
It is an attack on Labour. The way he is framing the seriousness of immigration is deliberately framing the public to decide that Labour are to blame. So obvious 🙄
As a teacher with a Physics degree, I'm ashamed in my country that while i struggle to pay the mortgage, our government and a large proportion of our population are obsessed with immigration.
They have no policy so using immigration is a tradition old as time, the stark reality is that the UK population is currently only propped up by immigration, current UK fertility rate is 1.56 without any immigration essentially means that for 100 people today there will only be 40 people in 30 years. the only reason we are not seeing a collapse of the younger age groups like China and South Korea is thanks to immigration. if the UK were to throw its borders shut, then by 2060 they would have a full blown crisis on their hands.
That's why they are bothered about immigration. Workforce is being replaced slowly in the name of business profit by low paid illegals. Wake up to the economics of business. People are pissed with this because they know it will ultimately drive down your wages which you have to accept or you will be redundant. Big bosses don't care about you and your living costs, only about their profits increasing.
The only thing that will piss him off is if Cameron doesn't get the India trade deal through. The deal that will give his rabid fascist family's Indian business full access to the UKs government IT contracts.
It's hilarious, I didn't realise that Labour were in Govt. You'd think a party with a majority of over 60 wouldn't need help from the opposition, unless its policy is so repugnant even it's own MPs won't back it.
The Rwanda policy was a load of bollocks from the beginning. However, there's not many suggestions as to where 'migrants' (illegals) should be sent to, whilst their ahem 'applications' are processed and considered...
The reason he needs help is that it is this legislation not repugnant enough for the right of the Conservative Party. That's how far they have shifted right. When political parties start pandering to the extremes on the left or right they will always be outflanked.
Clearly Rishi Rich is too dim to realise that he leads a majority government. He is also asking his party to vote against their last election manifesto, which stated they believed in human rights and the rule of law. Now he want them to pass a bill that ignores human rights and international law 🙄
@@Logans3Run the answer is simple, fund the sodding processing of claims, get them turned around in 3-6 months instead of 2 years. This will mean all the approved refugees can get on and pay taxes and integrate instead of being forced to stay on benefits and live in hotels. It also means all these apparent bogus claims will be solved and there are zero issues kicking them out as there are no human rights concerns.
One where the party in power has corrupted the Government to the point that an announcement, has a party slogan on it and the Prime Minister spends his answers complaining about the opposition who he has a 60 seat majority over. And that opposition have been around twenty points ahead of his party for two years now. Despite all of Sunak's claims about success, voters aren't buying it.
Just another wonderful day in Tory Britain. Personally I've baffled every day why it took 13 years of Tories lying, robbing and shitting all over this country for a lot of people to come to their senses. Oh yeah, they can't pay their mortgage or their energy bills now. So now it affects them they're taking notice.
They all want to stop the boats. Tories as they hate people claiming asylum, Labour because they want to stop people drowning. Sending them to Rwanda is not the answer
tory the only ones who can!!!! labor not in power!!!!! when ever they suggest something, tories say no, then a few months later do it and pretend it was their idea.... how do you expect the party with no power for 13 years to do something? they cant.... it's a strawman argument and he gaslighting tory supporters who only read headlines.... you actually looked at labors plans? or listened top what kier says? of course not!@@superpantman
Rishi Sunak - spending weeks and months concentrating on hundreds of people crossing on small boats and ignoring the tens of millions struggling with the energy crisis
How narrow minded. The bigger picture is that Rishi and the gang have decided to make the country so shit that nobody wants to come in small boats, big boats or any other means of transport. One of the many tools they are using is making sure that the British people can't afford to heat their home or eat. It's genius... probably.
they have fucked every aspect of the UK infrastructure, public structures economy, and for me, I would never ever forgive them for Brexit that is the big elephant in the room
Every time he talks about "the British people's frustration" and "the people's priorities" I'm like... which people!? Almost nobody has this anywhere near the top of their list.
And he has absolutely no mandate. Nobody voted for him and his ‘5 priorities’. He isn’t acting according to the will of the voting public. Why isn’t every journalist in every press conference repeating this every time he makes these outlandish claims?
@Weller85 The two things are not unrelated. The NHS offers a limited supply of resources. The immigrants are an unlimited demand. The NHS cannot do magic and cannot defy the laws of economics.
“We’re doing stuff that’s never been done before..” yes mate, because everyone else would have taken one look at it and gone “nah that’s 🦇 💩 crazy, it won’t work and it will make us an international laugh stock”.
Actually I'm not sure that the number that they can send to the UK is defined in the agreement. So it's possible that they could send more than a 100, in which case UK taxpayers are paying over £140m for a plan that potentially could increase immigration to the UK, just how insane is that? But the #ToryScum party don't give a fuck about how much public money they waste. Let's face it while in office they have blown about £100bn, a considerable amount of which was due to corruption and criminal activity. Also, anyone we send there who commits a crime will be deported to the UK, after they served their sentence.
£140 million, and get just as many in return that's been sent. And they have the ability to refuse anyone we send. But don't worry, it's "legally watertight" hahahahahahahaha Look at him squirm. He's beyond his depth.
There is no cap on the number Rwanda can send back - not in the treaty text anyway. Deterrent of 100 people in 20,000 is beyond farcical. And the UK has to pay for their upkeep for 5 years. And Rwanda can send back anyone who commits even a petty crime. It's a joke.
Big talk of throwing aside UKs legal obligations and deporting 100 people to Rwanda but no mention of the 745,000 legal migrants last year. Smoke and mirrors?
literally wasn't an issue until the tories fast tracked brexit with no foresight on what agreements we were leaving. They created this entire problem, and are clueless at what to do.
How dare he talk about our values. I'm British and am utterly disgusted in this doomed policy. Our international reputation is being dragged through the mud. I am ashamed to be British at the moment . These charlatans do not represent me and millions of other folk here.
I didn't go to a posh school, but I imagine this is what it's like watching the school prefect lose his shit at kids walking around without a hall pass.
Our government seem to want to allow Mu slims to take over I can’t say the real word as it’s too sensitive to suggest it There’s no free speech if you can’t say the obvious they are not happy where they came from so come here as it’s cosy for immi grants and our pm stopping them…. They irony 😂
This is a direct re-usage by Lynton Crosby of the stop the boats slogan that we australians were bashed with and are still being bashed with by the liberal party of Australia for decades. Get used to it. It's all the conservatives have.fear and smear. CALL AN ELECTION
All he has to do is phone the First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff and tell him to mobilise the Royal Navy to defend our coasts. Which is what we pay our taxes for them to do. What is so difficult about that? He is wasting billions of our taxes on defending the borders of some far-off land in Eastern Europe, but when it comes to home defence .... crickets
It really gets on my tits when politicians claim that they know what the "British People" think, want, believe and what our values are. At best they speak for the minority they think are important.

He's got a very short memory. He says Labour have no plan, but Labour's plan was discussed in PMQs only yesterday. He would rather appear to be doing something, even if it is unworkable and far more expensive than actually throwing people at the backlogs, just to score political points in an election year. This policy has hardly been done quickly. It's been on the table for over a year and I am sure there will be more challenges to come. It's just pathetic to say this policy is working.
It’s not just the human rights act. If you read the bill there are a number of other international laws that would be contravened. Examples of which are mentioned in the Bill.
human rights act sounds good, but it's not, it's a load of utter b/s which has got our elected government into a choke hold (with their own permission). It was designed to stop the German penchant for gassing Jews. That job was done years ago. Germany has re-entered the human race. It was not designed to allow our country to be invaded at will by people in rubber boats.
Crossings down by a third? 😂 Most of the time this can be attributed to the weather in the English Channel. It delayed D-Day by 24hrs. This free loading joker is the very definition of insanity.
@@grahamlees4394 ... Yeah, but you know the old Conservative tricks, lower taxes just before election time then whack them up again once you have been re-elected, they're famous for it, it worked a treat several times for the Thatcher/Major Tory governments.
@@caffs7777It wasn't even a bet, it was reliably forecast. Because of the way energy price support was organised last year, it made the headline inflation number fall this year but inflation for everyday spending remained high. So they effectively cooked the books for favourable headlines.

We have a clear plan... a plan we know won't work, that people have told us won't work, that my own MPs think won't work. But what's Labour's plan? That's what you need to ask!
Whilst forgetting there a million miles behind on the poles leading up to the next election . Not that they will loose any sleep over that after getting away with robbing the country blind over the last 13 and a half years on behalf of the rich at the cost of the poor
It seems quite clear that he is expecting to lose the vote, and blaming Labour he is hoping for a reaction from the tiny minority of idiots who actually support this.
Crossings have just gone down due to weather conditions. 52,530 migrants have known to have entered this year, this is 17% higher than the same period last year. It's odd how politicians can bend facts.
@@brennadickinson2920how do you know ? This lot have been in power 13 years and it truly wasn’t this broken when they came in. We had good benefits, childcare and services were good… free swimming for pensioners, ema for kids, affordable housing, affordable heating, no sewage in the sea. I don’t know why he goes on about boats too when he’s increased legit immigration by a third 🤷♀️
He's not speaking for me when he says he shares the entire British public's frustration about the boats. When will he share the frustations of many of us about our frustration with the Tory party and a non public elected leader. Put your money where your mouth is and call for a general election now.
Why does he think "the british public" want to stop the boats ? We want better healthcare , a stable economy and a good education system for our kids , who gives a stuff about the boats . If we had an asylum system where people could come in legally then there wouldn't be any boats why doesn't he focus on that ? what a plank
In April 1994, the genocide against the Tutsi erupted in Rwanda, with neighbors turning on neighbors and family turning on family. Over 800,000 people - up to 1 million on some accounts - were brutally slaughtered in just 100 days, leaving the once-beautiful country in ruins.
Most people's priorities are the cost of living, NHS waiting, homelessness, etc, not this nonsense that has cost millions of which could have been spent on more important things. This is a joke and an embarrassment. I noticed that he did not mention the NHS waiting list.
