I'm jealous of these people enjoying this awesome band.. And Arrrneeel! Man, you are incredible as always... For a 40+ year old, you sure act and has an energy like a 20 year old.
Journey are one of the best bands of all time in my opinion. Neal Schon is my favourite guitarist of all time, I've met him a few times and he's a really good guy.
No he's not Steve Perry, but his soulful voice and enthusiasm make him a very welcomed new voice. I for one love his voice and what he now brings to the band.
Journey, Journey and Journey. I am really wondering how people compares journey with others. There is no comparison at all............ What a soulful and passionate music!!!!! The performance is a spectacular one !!!! I am the biggest fan of journey in the world.......
a friend of mine was at backstage and he witnessed the legendary metal man PHIL ANSELMO of DOWN/ (ex-pantera vocalist) approached Arnel after that journey gig and congratulated him.. that was AWESOME! GO ARNEL AND JOURNEY, MABUHAY!!! ..and also to DOWN!
i saw these guys and white snake and def leppard in dublin last friday,to be honest none of them are my cup of tea but for me these guys stole the show.
Arnel was a tenor 2 border soprano in his hey day ..late 80's to early 90's but his voice was shot in mid 1995 due to drugs and alcohol abuse... The doctor said find another job cuz your voice is not coming back.. But he rehab himself after 6 months his voice back but not really as high... Fast forward in 2008 when journey hired him was not in his prime anymore cuz he was 40 yrs old.. But still sings high like journey songs as u can see here
thanks for the upload. I wasnt able to to make it to the festival but look's like Journey were one of the best bands there. Journey, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, Motley Crue and ZZ top. Old Rock is the Best and Journey show's that.

2/5 of the band? Which band? the one from 1973, 1981, 1986, 1996, 2001, or 2006 - the only mainstay is Neal Schon. Even Ross Vallory left at one point. Journey toured from 1973 to 2010 -- 37 years w/ multiple lineups. People still flock to see them. And, they're experiencing a revival here in Europe. Truth be told, it's Neal Schon's band, and he can tour with whoever he wants. Yes, even Arnel. It's Neal's legacy to do with as he pleases. And certainly NoSteveNoJourney doesn't have a vote.
He's a really good singer. we were here and mum was like...hold on thats not steve after like 2 songs......bring out the binoculars......Well ill be damned it isnt but fuck he's good XD
does it really matter who the singer is are you that fussed cuz in my opinion as long as he can sing the song well thats all that matters and he did journey lives on :D
well i gotta give it to arnel man, im filipino too, but race ain't the deal here. im in a band too and its my dream to be on that stage on download festival, no bs.. the energy of the crowd its like insane
JOURNEY have humiliated ALL the rest of the bands of this edition of download (as well as all the past edition of course!!!) I hope the organizer have the brains to understand that AOR is the most modern and exiting form of rock,so throw the numetal-punk-emo grunge garbage outside this festival and make a call to NEW amazing bands of this gene such as WORK OF ART and BROTHER FIRETRIBE!!!!!

Moron? really? Please. True, Journey was at the height of their popularity between 1980-83. Long before then, the band was led by Ansley Dunbar, Neil Schon and Greg Rolie. Rolie sang the songs that first got Journey recognized, and as you say "put them on the map". Had it not been for Schon and Rolie - who played with Santana - asking Perry to come in, no one would know who he is. Seriously other than his 85 solo album what has Perry done? Journey won't be around forever, enjoy it while you can.
I hated Journey with Steve Perry...his voice was too sweet and piercing. Arnel brought me to the band, and now I like Perry! The thing is, Perry's gone...fans need to get over it and ride the Arnel train. Support the band, buy tickets! journeymusic.comis selling VIP bakstage passes..just bought mine!
