Of course,there's only one SP, disregarding the colonial racism, it's also the will of fortune dictates that if you're going to analize the present situation of how SP now sing , a remarkable changes of his voice are noticeably makes no longer ineffective to the crowd. The help given by AP to journey cannot be denied why the group are still functioning up to this time. Definitely, SP was the original and he has a superb singing voice, but we have to accept the fact that AP's contribution to the group was so important ,in his 17 years with the group , he may be chosen as the mighty front man who really means business ,without any fear or regret just only doing the best for journey. As the saying goes!! AP accept the reality of life that you cannot please everyone. Perry burned out his voice around 1987. He doesn’t sound even remotely like he did back in 1984-1985. Arnel takes much better care of his voice, better than Steve Augeri. Arnel is here for the long haul, get used to it.

I was blessed to see Journey on their first tour back starting Arnel…I missed Steve, but Arnel did (and still does) a beautiful job..he made the show!!😃❤️ I also got to see Night Ranger..who, too is still wonderful and Foreigner…love them, but I will always pick Lou Gram over the current lead singer.
Props to Arnel.. he had keeped the band alive for all these years... is kind of hard to be 50+ and keeping that voice.. .i bet he has discipline God Level!!!
I have trouble understanding Arnel, especially in this song. I thought Arnel was the closest to Steve Perry until I heard Hugo Valentino with Voyage. He even looks a lot like Steve.
