I should not be this emotional but screw it, this is as good as it gets and it’s not even day 1! You know I am missing the Big Agnes already, I bet you call for it sooner rather than later. Single wall tents are nice, but our BA tents just hit different. Aw! I can't wait to follow you on this trail. When I was living in San Diego the PCT wasn't finished yet! I never went back to even visit, and now being 73, I doubt I will go back to hike there. Wishes for a great adventure for you and NO medical issues!

If a rainfly is only difference with the tent set up ,,pick up a quality tarp and needed stakes along the way , , there may be many places along the trail that you might prefer a tarp only to sleep under ...
