My goodness! THANK YOU!!! I’m making it for the first time, following the instructions on the bag; however, it omits the SOAKING overnight! After over an hour, I taste and could tell it’s still too firm. 30 minutes and still not there. I thought, hmmm this seems like it should’ve been soaked overnight like dry beans. Finally hit YT for pointers and waalah, alas! I’m right!!! Even the cooking directions from 1 variation to another doesn’t make sense to produce a done product. Mine has yet to pop that outer kernel shell throughout - some have, which was an indicator for me to continue cooking. I’m rinsing another cup to let soak overnight and will cook that tomorrow as a comparison for the long method I’m experiencing.
Yummy dishes ma'am. Just today I came across your channel. I'm going to follow 😊🙏 pl upload more recipes made out of all kinds of millets without rice for diabetic patients ma'am. Thx in advance 😀
After a long search I have found healthy jowar whole grain recipe. Thank you! Looking forward more jowar recipes . Some say that jowar grain should be cooked in clay pots, is it very necessary?
Thanks for the lovely recipe. I tried it today however my jowar was not soft and had a bite. I did soak overnight and pressure cooked for 16 whistles. What could be the reason ?
Thanks for sharing your feedback. That is really strange. I make this all the time and have never had this experience. May be it matters what kind of jowar kernels you are using. I usually buy whole jowar from my local grocery store but will check if there is a lot of variety within it.
