I'm white, 37 and live in Canada. My family lives in a town where the underground railroad brought slaves to be free here in Canada. It's now a historical site and museum. I loved this song. We are all humans. I don't care what colour your skin is. I just care about your character and whether or not your helping others, even if it's only a little bit. There's too much misinformation out there. Science even says humanity migrated from Africa. We are all brothers and sisters. I wish there was more music like this. I've watched this about 6 times now. I love it. Please think before you act and act how you would want others to act towards you. Borders are just lines in the sand that we as humans draw. Increase where you put your line and eventually you won't have one. I wish everyone a happy and fruitful life. I'm not racist, and neither should you be. Please 🙏✌️

I’m a Native American, and I have said a couple of the things the “white” part said and have never meant it the way it came across... this music video helped me see how my words may have been perceived. Song is 🔥. Joyner, Royce and Em need to do a “Bad Meets Evil” type album.

Also.. What an exemplary display of what an honest conversation, and listening can do. We all just need to truly listen to each other, and be open to accepting our faults and be willing to realize our views are not always correct. It's much better to be happy than right. Appreciate you guys, and of course Joyner.

The reaction itself was kinda racist. The song is saying that there are two sides to every story and all you did was disagree with everything the white guy said and then get all hyped about just the black guy's verse. The song isn't saying that whatever the white guy says is wrong and the black guy is correcting it, it's saying that both have opinions and reasons and some are valid and some aren't based on anything and that they need to communicate to make things better.

Sad how people react to this, but completely miss the message. They just can’t wait for the black guy to make his come back and hype him up.

Every time I listen to the song or watch the video, it makes me cry. The message of this is so strong. If you aren’t torn by this message, there is something wrong with you.

If one person(Joyner Lucas) wrote both parts and understood them without any racism then everyone can but not everyone wants to. They just like to be right.

I Love how blue hoodie and grey hoodie were really getting into the "White side" of the argument because they were aware that there were some truths and some exaggerations in the bars, and were the same with the "black side" as well. They are the prime example of POC that are conscious of the generalized statements of both races and showed acceptance that some of them are true whether they be positive or negative. Both races are right, and wrong; no one is superior or inferior to the others.

It highkey irritates me when black people miss the point of the video. Of course we can relate to the black struggles and that side of the argument more because, you guessed it, we’re black. But that doesn’t mean it’s right. Both sides are opposite ends of extremes; they’re both stereotyping and if you agree with either you’re in the wrong. They’re not issuing straight fact, they’re giving their very biased opinions on the issue! At the end they both had gained empathy from hearing eachothers story and that’s how they came to an ‘understanding’. now, of course racism is an issue concerning black people’s lives and white people aren’t the ones who face racism on a day to day basis, so (in my hopefully unbiased opinion) the black side voiced some more legitimate struggles but that STILL doesn’t mean either is right. The white guy said things that had truth to them too and a lot of people are either too afraid to agree or unable to accept that. The delivery wasn’t pleasant so likely your first reaction is to flinch at his excessive use of the n word and want to establish how you could not agree less, but that’s why you need to approach this with a clear mind and see the true message of the video. I’m not gonna lie, at first I found myself agreeing with the black side a bit too much and I had to remind myself that’s the point of the video, to realise I shouldn’t be. Joyner knew what he was doing when he made this and he did it well.

I'm scared to even talk about things like this being a white person, feel like black people hate me just for being white and it sucks. I've never hurt a fly, just do me and live my life the best I can. I've got friends of all ethnicities but still they think if you say that you're a closet racist. I'm a conservative atheist and just want everyone to do well and live their own life, smaller government, etc. I really don't like being labeled a racist, people don't even know me. It makes me incredibly upset sometimes.

Here's something, I'm white and live in Scotland. I've never spent time with a black person. Not through me excluding them, just never been in a situation where I'm with black people. I'd love to sit down with a few of my friends and a few black people and talk about our culture's. We're both humans, but we operate in 2 completely different ways. I'm definitely not racist, I've never had a bad word to say about any race. I was brought up poor as well. Would be great to just chill, have a smoke and just talk about each others problems and issues and sort shit out.

I'm 13 and dude, racism is not needed to be here. We need to stop it for peace and plus where will it get you.
