I know exactly what you're talking about. The music and feel of splatoon 2 is just a little too different. It's not as nostalgic or memorable as the first game. The only part of Splatoon 2 I can really say I'm nostalgic for is octo expansion.

This is delightful! So energetic and nostalgic. Kraken Up was one of my faves from the original Splatoon. Also, including the tower control jingle was a stroke of genius and put a huge smile on my face!!

It's so good, Splatoon sure is one of my favorite games, spending time with new friends on it, participating in scrims and tournaments, playing custom modes like laser tag, and even memeing in Splatfests. Waaah, it sure was a joyful ride.
This remix is so fresh! I always loved the og splatoon, but I haven’t played in a while.😅 The tower jingle just hits different. This HAS to be one of the best remixes you’ve done so far. I can’t wait to see what you do for 2021!
After hearing this now my brain thinks that the jingle on the tower is the kraken Up, I can't unhear it now and I'm happy cuz it brings me a lot of nostalgia

This song is incredible! On the first day I discovered it, I listened to it like 10 times. Then I went through each of your Splatoon remixes, and I love them ALL. Amazing job!
I was hoping I could find a good joke in the comments so I could make the same "You're kraken me up" joke as I did on a video of the original song (Also love that you used the sound the tower makes when it moves in the remix(also here's a tip for tower control: the tower actually moves faster with more people it's just not very noticable))
Dang it! I wish I could have listened to this when it first came out... Still, it reminds me of my first ranked match in Splatoon 1. It was Tower Control and 'Kraken Up' was the song playing in the background. The little tower jingle really reeled it in for me; it makes me feel so nostalgic for the game even though i just started playing it a few years ago, both Splatoon 1 and 2. I really want to go back to Splatoon 1 someday, but I'm afraid Nintendo will pull online support for it once Splatoon 3 comes out, like what they did with Mario Maker.

Amazing remix! Been listening to it as soon as I saw and i love it, its the songs from games like Splatoon that really keep me going, Kraken Up was my favorite song from the first game, so seeing a fresh remix of it? PECK YEAH! Kraken Up may have been sidelined for my favorite Splatoon track for Entropical, (also, lovin the remix of that :>) it still holds a place in my heart :)

I unfortunately will never get to play og Splatoon with internet as i was at work when it was reactivated and then cut off completely so ill only get the songs from story mode 😅
