idk if you'll like it, but "The Ghost~Pop Tape" OG By Devon Hendryx, which is Peggy's old name, you should def check out. Honestly his best album and one of his most experimental. Its also one of my fav albums of all time. So def check that out before spring comes around the corner lmao
obsessed with this album. although, the offline version currently on streaming has gone through numerous updates and has changed it to a version that i personally dont prefer compared to the first initial drop of the album. regardless, this shits a banger and hyped to see you react to it
i’ve learned to just roll with the way he’s edited it and honestly prefer the more sporadic and clashing production than the initial release. rip gunshot at the end of rebound! tho, i will always forever miss it 💔
This album just gets better and better on every relisten. I liked it the first time I heard it but that was all, but by the time I finished my third listen I was completely in love
Seriously even the songs i didnt like on first listen like nemo have grown on me so much. Theres not a lotta albums i think are perfect but this is definitely one of em
Im putting this in my queue to watch when I need the energie I always get from your videos. I would like to recommend Jim Orourke "Live at Japan 2002.9.16" as an album you should react to. Its a transhuman experience that ascends you into the realms of discomfort, intense comfort, love, hope, desperation and peace!
You should react to one of Peggy’s older projects under the name Devon Hendryx. The Ghost Pop Tape or Dreamcast Summer Songs have very cool ambient and vapor wave styles (Dreamcast Summer Songs is regarded as one of the first vaporwave projects)
Dude you just HAVE to react to Veteran next. All of the compliments you have, especially for the latter half of the album are also present throughout his breakout album Veteran, which has crazy production. Also his album All My Heroes Are Cornballs has all of those things, but it's overall a much softer sound exploring more pop elements and some singing
out of his other two most popular records that you haven't already covered (veteran and scaring the hoes) you should definitely check out scaring the hoes next also definitely hit up some of Danny Brown's stuff - atrocity exhibition is one of the best albums i've ever heard
Great video! I heard you complain about the lowered tone on END CREDITS, i’d think you’d like The original version of END CREDITS becuase it’s a higher tone. It sounds like Peggy is hyped the fuck up.
hell yea! everything about JPEGs I like! Love peggy's work and this might be my personal favorite of his but its hard to pick tbh nice review here and hope you do Veteran soon! I've been watching your channel a lot on my other account (wanted to switch to my artist one for this comment, which I also subscribed with) and have been wondering what you'd think of my own music so I'm happy to hear you're reaching out for that all I have are several singles right now on streaming, soundcloud and bandcamp, but much more in the works. Idk if you'll choose them but I wanted to suggest either "Graffiti" or "Chtring" by me, REVOLV_R ; Graffiti being a sort of lo-fi dirty beat that also kind of transitions into a more vibrant sound, its actually kind of inspired by peggy. And Chtring is a more recent track I've done that is inspired by getting more into Aphex Twin (because of your videos on him!) both of these tracks in particular I'm really proud of and hope you enjoy them if you decide to listen
Bro really called nemo intimate lmaooo nah but honestly that's an accurate description, it's like auditorily intimate with how meticulously crafted / detailed it is
The group he's referencing on REBOUND! is Armand Hammer. They squashed the beef basically right after this album came out and have since worked with each other. You should definitely check out their newest project We Buy Diabetic Test Strips if you get a chance, and their solo albums if you're feeling their style
Yes!!! Im so glad ur listening to peggy! When u listen to his discog, i reccomend listening to his earlier work under his real name devon hendryx (his name but spelled different) it has greats albums like JOECHILLWORLD and one of his best albums the ghost pop tape and also the rockwood escape plan, as well as dream cast summer songs which some people say os the first vaporwave album
you should listen to we buy diabetic test strips by armand hammer! some of the most impressive rapping ive heard in a long time! jpegmafia produced several of the tracks on it aswell
Great video! I'd love it if you checked out Little Simz - she's widely seen as one of the best rappers of the current generation. Grey Area is a great introduction to her, and Sometimes I Might Be Introvert is excellent.
Ghost of Ranking Dread is better with the original BPS on Spotify. It didn’t need to be sped up. Peggy is the best we have but I still can’t understand this decision
You said about viewers music so I’ll suggest my band. My band is called ƎXIT and the song is spring casualty. You’ll find it on my page along with demos of other songs. Spring is the only recorded song so that’s why I suggest that. Idk if you just suggest it here or what but if not could you say
