JQ's RETIREMENT From RC & Future Plans 

I hope you dont wander too far. Rc still needs people like you. The knowledge you share, that most wouldnt, shows youre humble enough that winning yourself doesnt matter, but if someone else can from your knowledge, then you did your job.

We as the RC community are lucky to have you, JQ. Thank you for your hard work

Just wanted to say thank you for sharing your knowledge here and with your course and book. As a beginner in RC-Racing this helped immensely to understand how the geometry of those cars work.

You are a legend my friend. Very inspiring and open. I can relate so much to what you say towards the end of the video. If I still had time and the drive to race more I would join your Team but I settled for the 9 to 5. 😂 So glad you talk to your Parents again I am sure they are proud of what you created and how you help and inspire people nonetheless.

We may not know one another but, I'm genuinely happy to hear and happy for you that you realized what you were doing and how, subconsciously, you weren't truly serving yourself and your own best interests. I was really hoping you would say "having a family of my own" at the end of your future plans because it just seemed like the logical conclusion. This is all not to say that you haven't accomplished some amazing things while running away from yourself, because you have. But even with all that in the books, I suspect (or hope) that the chapter you're embarking on now will be the most fun, the most challenging and the most rewarding as you finally achieve full self-actualization. I’ve raced R/C boats competitively my whole life, and like you, I’ve wanted to make a living doing it. My life has played out “the hard way”, so with a wife and kids, all of my money goes to other priorities. I still dream to design my own competitive boats, and ultimately, 50 years from now join my grandfather in the IMPBA Hall of Fame. I envy your accomplishments. We are our own toughest critics, but I hope you understand that you have lots of amazing accomplishments, and find a way to just have fun with what you love. Being around R/C my whole life, cars and boats, I’ve just recently looked into 1/8 nitro racing. The challenge alone excites me. YOUR channel has done an amazing job actually TEACHING the science behind the sport and I really appreciate it. Even if I can’t ever get the money to race competitively full time, my short term goal is to build a kit (Miyako) and make it run PERFECT based off of what I learn from you. I’ll be buying the online video course you have when I get home from my deployment! Thank you JQ.

I`m glad that you realize what was always my opinion about you : You are a good driver but your talent is as designer. I`m running RC cars for over 30 years and by owning the Yellow and White edition i can tell that your cars are inspired by knowledge, experience, imagination and passion!! Follow your new dream with MAYAKO Joseph but don`t forget or annihilate the the JQ Brand because that`s your biggest creation so far and your home when new things need to evolve your way in the future.😎🤘😉👍

Congrats Joseph, youve acheived things in RC very few will ever dare to try and worked very hard for it, especially on the technical side of the industry, in my opinion up there with legends such as Mario Rossi or Adrien Bertin or Yuichi Kanai the only confusion for me is why you chose to portray Mayako like a japanese product instead of somethng closer to home or more personalised to you? If the kit is manufactured in Japan like mugen or kyosho then please forgive me, it just seems out of charecter for such a strong individual to act pretentious or fake or suffering some kind of identity crisis where the brand and its owner are not proud to be Finnish. Sorry if this does offend you but i wish you the best, and hey you would not be the one to ever hold back opinions so dont take it personally lol cheers my friend !
