pandering .. chicago,, LA. bubba.. dan swarez Daytona in July.. what happened to that,, they dont want to be known anymore as down home American .. no good drivers around the country working there guts out to get there they have to bring in people from other continents .. fucking libtard woke joke of what it once was..
@@dd-uj8jxDamn dude, chill out. No need for that hateful crap. I don't care who you're referring either, it doesn't matter. I mean, are you 12? If you're 12 or younger, I'd maybe give you a pass for being dumb on the Internet.
Montoya has almost completed motorsports at this point, he's won in F1, Indycar, Nascar, Sportscars, Le Mans (if you count his LMP2 Pro-Am overall win in 2021), when you think about it, it's insane!
Off topic but I was watching some of Eric's old videos from 2-3 years ago and I'm really impressed how much he's taken care of himself recently. He looks a lot healthier and happier. I'm happy for him!
Yeah I think many people forget or overlook that Montoya is a CART champion, IMSA champion, 2X Indy 500 champion, Cup and Xfinity winner, F1 winner. Literally all he does is win in any series on planet Earth. The dude is a living legend.
Personally I just cannot comprehend why in hell people would overlook JPM's far and wide achievement. I think Montoya should be remembered as one of the Ironmen of Motorsports, ability to win in multiple discipline like that is rare.
Yeah, he is lowkey the best drivers of this generation. He has 2/3 of the legs of the Triple Crown, and has had success in Indycar, F1, Nascar, and Sports car racing. He is an incredible driver and one of the best of this era.
Your buddy David Land said Andretti is switching to Chevy with their indycar program so that all the series they will race will be with GM. Makes a lot sense. I’m guessing 2025 will be Andretti global entry to the 2025 Daytona 500.
I still think Andretti will hook up with Spire whenever he does expand into NASCAR; Gainbridge, a major sponsor on Spire's 7 car, is a major Andretti sponsor and is helping fuel Spire's growth from the single-car team they began life as to the three-car team (plus three trucks) they are today...
I’m a massive fan of JPM so I’m so hyped to see him back. That said the fact Trackhouse has had a F1 champion with Kimi Raikkonen and an Aussie Supercar legend in SVG as part time cup drivers. Than you go to 23XI Racing who got an Xgames Gold medalist in Travis Pastrana, 24 hours of LeMan race winner of Kamui Kobayashi, now a Indy500 champion and NASCAR Cup series race winner of Juan Pablo Montoya and next year having 2017 NASCAR Cup series champion of MTJ. Trackhouse and 23XI have brought some INSANE drivers into their fold as part time drivers
THE MAN, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND, HE’S BACK! When I heard Juan Pablo Montoya is coming back the jet dryer clip played in my head and I feel bad cause I remember genuinely cheering for him way back when. Hearing you say the jet dryer incident happened 12 years ago it hurt, I didn’t realize it was that long ago 😭
I’m super excited that he’s returning. I wanna see Juan Pablo Montoya and Shane Van Gisbergen battle it out at Watkins Glen, as they’re the best road course racers that will be racing there.
One thing you can give Sheldon Creed>>>he will bring home the car in one piece....in a world where the teams are spending too much money he would be a good driver for a mid pack team that does not want to spend a lot of money rebuilding race cars every week.$$$$$$$$$$
Juan Pablo Montoya: one of the greatest drivers to ever live on this planet… coming back to nascar! Not gonna lie. I was kinda hoping he would run the brickyard one more time to avenge his heartbreaking loss from 2009… but hey… you can’t go wrong with Watkins Glen either… especially since he’s a born road racer.
worth mentioning that andretti isn't hand-in-hand with honda atm. combine that with andretti-cadillac strengthining bonds possibly in imsa, andretti could go all in with GM
How many times has Sheldon Creed started in the rear because of mechanical problems? It's been a lot so hence part of the reason why the stage points a stage winds aren't there
David Land said it best, its more likely that Andretti would switch to Chevy in Indycar, they’ll be with Cadillac in IMSA, hopefully will be with them in F1, and are already tied to Chevy with Spire. Honda’s foggy future with Indy could push Andretti to switch anyway. Plus it’s a huge “IF” to say Honda is going to actually join NASCAR especially because they’ve already told NASCAR they won’t join unless NASCAR changes engine rules.
I think more Nascar fans watched the Indy 500, first one after he left NASCAR and WON! I was so happy and never pulled for a full time indy car driver like that.
Eric, I NEED to see what you said about Creed; i LOVE him, have met him in person, away from the track, and think he could be an upcoming driver, but JUST hasn't won. He's a GREAT person, just hope he wins. Also, Andretti coming to NASCAR would be an INSTANT hit! Honda would be the TOTAL opposite, but NASCAR would love it because it would bring in the biggest population growth race in America, Spanish people.
WTR w Andretti is switching from Acura to Caddie and Andretti is supossedly switching from Honda to Chevy as early as 2025 if not in 2026 so I doubt that Andretti will be bringing Honda to Nascar. Andretti to Nascar seems logical Iand it seems like Andretti can buy into Spire or start a new team and have an alliance with Spire and run Chevys . I do hope Andretti will be allowed to enter F1 in the near future . On another note I want to see Trackhouse start an xfinity team as well as a nascar truck series team
Predicting a legendary battle between Montoya (the old road course ringer), Van Gisbergen (the new road course ringer) Larson and Elliott (the owners of Watkins Glen) That would be fucking amazing.
Andretti is rumored to be changing engine manufacturers from Honda to Chevrolet in 2026. Andretti is already affiliated, and hold stock within Spire through Gaindridge, and 1001, its already a done deal, they are just waiting on the engine manufacturer swap before things move forward.
Good luck Juan. It is extremely difficult to get in a Cup car and kick ass. SVG is the exception, but he has lots of experience and is a Supercar champion. Other road course ringers haven’t dominated. Juan might do ok, but a win is improbable.
I don't think the Honda and Andretti relationship will be continued so I have doubts that will be a Honda effort into NASCAR. They have expanded the relationship with GM (with the Fi entry attempt) and the rumour is that they will become a Chevy team in Indycar.
Both gainbridge and Delaware life are sponsors for Andretti in Indycar and Spire in NASCAR so I would say that the Spire and Andretti partnership would fully work or be fully possible
Juan Pablo Montoya is a two-time Indy 500 champion One Time Indy series champion three-time Lamar winning champion formula 1 race driver add NASCAR driver NASCAR drivers got that resume
I know that Honda and Andretti do work together in Indycar but it seems that relationships will come to an end soon. Andretti has been working closer and closer with GM in multiple other motorsports and it even seems that they could switch to Chevy in Indy within a year or two. I expect for spire and Andretti to join forces and stay a Chevy team buying Hendrick data.
As far with Andrette effort to NASCAR, there's rumors speculating they would be switching to GM in the coming years at Indycar. Would make sense since they want to enter F1 grid with GM power. David Land covered about that yesturday.
Honda won't be part of an Andretti deal. They're strengthening their GM ties in all categories; their F1 engine is a Cadillac, they're probably going to be the replacement for Ganassi in the Cadillac LMDh program, and they're considering switching to Chevy in Indycar.
One thing a lot of people forget about the jet dryer incident: it wasn't his fault at all; the car broke and he couldn't steer... AND... the same thing happened to his teammate later in that same race...
Sheldon Creed signed with JGR and left RCR. He did not get the boot from RCR. It was Creed who left RCR on his own accord, to take his family money to JGR. So why would anyone say Creed got the boot, when it was indeed Creed who was doing the booting. it is like Kurt Busch being 'fired' from Roush Racing. When Ku Busch already had a contract signed with Penske to race there the following year, before he was stood down for the final race of the season at Roush. As much as Montoya had won the Indy 500 before he went to Formula One and won at Monaco and other F1 races, before coming to NASCAR. Yet some compare Montoya as if he came to NASCAR as an inexperienced driver on Ovals. (after he had won at Indy long before NASCAR was even an option)
Here’s my take on Creed. Is he good? Yes. Is he able to be around at the end? Yes. He’s got a ton of speed some weeks and the others he’s just bad. Not to mention the multiple occasions this year where he turned into a meathead with 5 to go and took an at least top 2 into a 10. Remember the JHN incident that creed said was Nemecheks fault? I used to like Creed, but this year in particular and made me start to think “Maybe Creed played a roll in why RCR treated him so bad.” He’s got a lot of talent I feel, but is an idiot when it comes to the end. I understand being aggressive at the end, but there’s a difference between aggressiveness and stupidity, Creed doesn’t know where that line is
I am super excited to see Montoya back in Nascar. And, no, I am not ever forgetting the jet dryer incident. 😂 I still think Sheldon Creed could be a top Nascar star one day, but he's not ready for Cup. He needs at least one more year in Xfinity to prove that he can WIN.
um.. you should've watched david land's video from yesterday about the issue. he says that there are rumors in the indycar paddock about andretti leaving honda due to strengthening ties with gm. this is linked to an imsa rumor that andretti will partner with cadillac in imsa next season, and of course the already DEEP relationship cadillac & andretti global have in f1 that you can mull over on youtube for hours on end. i think the honda suggestion is dumb, it's just an unnecessary tying the knot thing imo. if andretti commits to nascar they'll do it with gm, through & through, no questions asked. - *also, if liberty media & f1 corporate actually do budge to andretti somehow whilst they join nascar, they'll have teams in: -formula 1 -indycar -nascar -imsa -wec (if they do le mans i believe) -formula e -v8 supercars the only other team i can think of with that kind of influence in motorsport is penske. getting into f1 & nascar will be ENORMOUS for everyone, if the team pulls it off
they had to special dispensation from nascar to widen the window opening so montoya could fit in the car. nascar also waived the rule to get out of the car fast because montoya could not fit. this is not news michael anrdetti was rumored to be entering with dodge. he said want to enter nascar after they set up the f1 team ago couple of years ago.
Andretti-Honda in NASCAR sounds exciting but is likely gonna be dependent on a number of contractual stipulations. Gotta remember, their F1 plans hinge not just on F1 not constantly slamming the door shut in their faces, but on the GM/Cadillac engine supply. And GM is very much embedded in both IndyCar and NASCAR, and may want to have all Andretti programs joined with the same manufacturer. Now, they do currently run Hondas in IndyCar, but earlier today on the silly season update published by Racer, there are discussions between Andretti and Honda/GM on a potential engine switch, though the lack of full time engine lease contracts is currently the biggest obstacle to any switch happening in the short term. But for later down the line? It's a possibility. But they could also stay in a Ganassi-esque arrangement of running Honda IndyCars and GM stock cars (and F1 cars) without issue. It's something to watch out for in the next few years, I'd say.
