You know you're poor if you've ever eaten tortilla sandwiches. And not the tortilla in place of the bread but rather the tortilla in place of the meat.
Shit!!!! lights will go off and we would run out to play when we were grounded or excuse not to do homework. No air conditioning, one bathroom, one bedroom with 3 beds. Lunch was tortilla o pan with butter and Nestle Quick powder or butter with sprinkles. I can go on and on we were poor but had the best fucking time of my life. Fuck we even had a huge rat, kukas and mice. Wouldn't trade my childhood for nothing. No regrets!!!!
it sucked when you had to use a piece of rolled up paper as a wedge on the knob to get the TV to stay in focus. I swear ,I'm in telecommunications today,because I was forced to understand RF back as a kid. smh.
Hector Ruiz apparently you didn’t grow up in a Mexican family household to experience that. You don’t have to be Mexican or a Mexican American to have lived through that but roaches seems to be an integral part of a home in their households because - it’s hilarious

The raisins that weren't raisins bahahaha I had that happen to a friend once he puked ..we were talking on the phone late at night he says : what the fud? there aren't raisins in corn flakes! I said: ooh Snap check if those raisins have legs . he screamed then puked wish I was there to see it. still laugh about it even though it was 20 something years ago.
