“Before the Dawn” and “Diamonds and Rust” are must hear songs. They made a Heavy Metal version of Joan Baez’s song “Diamonds and Rust” around 1980, but later they went back to the roots and did a couple acoustic versions. Their live acoustic version from their Rising in the East DVD is my favorite and really highlights Rob’s vocals. Both of these songs show the lighter versions of their music talents. You won’t be disappointed in either. Link to “Diamonds and Rust” live ACOUSTIC is below. Joan’s is a must hear also. Breaking the law , a bit commercialized for Priest, but better then most songs on the Radio , I herd one reaction video once say it made him feel like letting his dog crap in the neighbored yard & leaving it , or going out to dinner & running out without paying the bill , lol he was kidding ofcourse but a real outlaw z!!!

While Sad Wings of Destiny is the only Priest album I truly love, I do like British Steel quite a bit. This song is one of the main reasons why, just driven, hard hitting rock. My favorite cover of this song and a different experience that I highly recommend is by a band called Metallachi. They do mariachi covers of all the best metal tracks. Their version gives this song the trumpet it deserves.

Awesome video as always guys! I would love to see reactions to some Be'lakor! They're one of my favorite bands of all time, up there with TBDM (though different style). Songs I'd suggest as starters: - Countless Skies - In Parting - An Ember's Arc - Much More Was Lost Those second 2 are part of concept albums that tell stories. An Ember's Arc is the start of a story for its album and it's about the fusion in the sun creating a photon of light, so there's no needed context other than "it continues from there". Much More Was Lost is the last song of an album, so just for context the people that the kids come across in their adventures in that song are references to victims of tragic lives in the other songs. It's about the kids losing their innocence and blissful ignorance of the sadness of the world so to speak. The album as a whole is a collection of tragic stories of people living around a mountain over time.

There's a new Beavis and Butthead series (a year or two old now) where they have some episodes of Beavis and Butthead being middle aged losers, those episodes rule! (Originally Beavis and Butthead "sang" breaking the law after Beavis uses a chainsaw on a grasshopper!)

If you want to explore the british metal scene beyond the obvious giants like Maiden, BS and Priest I suggest delving into the following bands: Sabbat (not BS, but the thrash band with Andy Sneap and Martin Walkyier), Skyclad, Carcass, Paradise Lost, Cathedral, Venom, My Dying Bride, Anathema and Diamond Head.

I'm always glad when Priest is played in videos like yours but Breaking the Law??? Really? Again and again! It's a classic, no doubt about it, but it's not the most interesting of their songs. I'm pretty sure you'll be surprised by Epitaph on Sad Wings for example. Nevertheless thanks to you to talk about Priest.

@@TheBFN although, I will say this… The Mississippi stereotypes are probably more severe than most. I went to Vegas about 17 years ago… Met some people out there that were GENUINELY surprised that I owned a pair of shoes. 😂 I had no idea how to respond.
