Some people just don’t like her answer and aren’t pleased that this woman gets to run her courtroom and schedule the way she chooses as long as she’s compliant. Sting Cool I was originally going to say $5 a minute, but thought it too high. Just throwing out ideas to disrupt this cycle of thinking it’s ok to waste everyone else’s time. When people say things like “It takes a long time for the legal process” they are talking about the normal time it takes. Imagine if a judge is only getting through 10-50% of the dockets on a given day. You might have to go to court 2-3 more times just to pay a damn parking ticket. Usually hitting these corrupt judges in the wallet causes change. I’d impose the judge to match dollar for dollar for each minute they waste. Just a thought
I love how she keeps saying “my ADA accommodations.” The accommodations are what her employer provides her, not whatever the hell she decides to bestow upon herself each morning she doesn’t feel like dragging herself out of bed to get to work on time. Bottom line-she doesn’t have a reasonable accommodation (RA) that allows her to set her own hours at will, particularly not when such a change is in direct conflict with her assigned court docket hours. The fact that she continues to be assigned to a specific docket with set hours is further proof she had no preexisting, employer granted RA. She’s a gross embarrassment to all of us who legitimately serve in the judiciary🤦🏾♀️
I’ve never seen anyone with diabetes have issues with being on time for school or work. She needs to be removed from the bench or sanctioned. Also the clerk of the court needs to quit scheduling cases to be seen by her prior to 11am.
Exactly, I'm disabled myself, and honestly it sickens me she uses that excuse. I mean something tells me that if her blood sugar is consistently too low she must be using too much insulin.

Some of the most powerful people in the world are also Narcissists. I think part of the reason we so often find these types of people in positions of power is because they truly have no fear of consequence and lack empathy for others. It's easy to reach the top when you are willing to disregard all the rules that everyone else has to follow.

It's 10 times worse when children are sick and it's saddening. I wish all of the children were healthy and had no health issues at all because children should only have to worry about growing up. I have a thyroid condition, I get very tired and sometimes don’t feel like getting out of bed, but I still get up and make it to work on time, come home clean and make dinner.

There was a point in my career, right before I medically retired, that I was in so much pain that I couldn't tie my own shoes. Every step was LIVING HELL and I STILL was on time (early) EVERY DAY.
I have diabetes, Crohns disease, asthma, and mitral valve prolapse, but haven't been late to work since 1997 when my brother passed away. This judge is entitled, lazy, arrogant, and she's a liar. Typical.
I've had the displeasure of sitting in traffic court on average of once every 3-5 yrs or so. Judges showing late has been the common experience. We are often told they're preoccupied with a serous case preceding those of ours who waited. Than 30 mins or so later, they and the defendants dressed in orange would eventually show. I was just grateful to only be there for a parking ticket. Like "take ur time judge -- have ur coffee, have ur tea, just whatever u do, please go light on me." 😂

I've worked a lot of jobs, and I used to twist myself into knots worrying about doing them well and knowing everything I should know and so forth. I've realized, now, that if you simply show up on time and do the job to a reasonable standard, you're doing a heck of a lot better than many people.
You are right. The over and beyonders get the same paycheck as a lazy worker. Keep your integrity and dignity and be right in the middle. I learned the hard way that it doesn't pay to do too much.

Get rid of the ADA loophole. If she's not going to be in the courtroom until 10am then don't schedule people to appear at 8am. WHERE IN THE ADA POLICY DOES IT SAY YOU CAN DISRESPECT THE COURTROOM ETIQUETTE AND PROFESSIONALISM? This is egregious and her lack of ethical decorum begs for her dismissal!!!
That’s pretty blatant abuse of the ADA. The ADA DOESN’T require employers to make accommodations that could be significantly detrimental to its ability to function. I’d say a judge showing up 2-3 hours late nearly every day is pretty effectively breaking the functionality of their system.
I bet that guy in the wheelchair got himself to court on time. And she has the audacity to say her diabetes and thyroid condition falls under ADA for special accommodations.
@@misscleo378 She's soo incredibly wrong its pathetic.. the ADA allows for reasonable accommodations, not accommodations to someone who clearly cannot do her job. Even if she started showing up to work on time, staying the entire day would show she's been bullshitting the entire time.
My advice to the judge? Get up earlier and attend to your blood sugar accordingly. I know a lot of people with diabetes and one thing they all have in common? None of them play that card - not one of them.
She's the one with the disability if anything they should change the schedule of her court so that the people going to her courtroom start at 10:30am she doesn't get paid by the hour and if anything her Court can stay open later nevertheless she should accommodate the people who come on time and stay there and wait for her especially if she has some bad news for them.
@@kirbykipling9515 Those allowances are meant for times where ones condition "acts up" which isn't all to often for most cases if the person is being healthy and doing everything they are supposed to be doing to take care of themselves. She is likely abusing the system by simply stating she had complications when she didn't so she could come in late.
I bet a defendant with the same condition wouldn't be able to use their condition in her court room. She wouldn't care about a defendant's condition if the defendant is late

I have both diabetes and thyroid work 6 days a week over 60 hours sometimes to get my rent of 1,400 paid.. heck if they call me on Sunday ( *my only day off* ) to go in I'll freaking take it. I can't afford to like my children's home. This bitch don't need this job, some would wish to have.. smh!!!

He only takes off when he is hospitalized. EVERY black female except for 1 is on ADA accomadations and they waltz in and out whenever they like. Her response to a fellow judge saying “her being late is not acceptable” “O well that judge is not in my courtroom.” Regardless of him not being in your courtroom it’s not professional for you to be showing up two hours late when multiple people are taking time off from work to deal with you not showing up till two hours later!
Why is it that if a person applies for the most junior position in the Public Service, they are required to pass a strict medical examination but if they are applying for some of the most senior positions in the country, they can have numerous health issues and no medical examination?
