"Everyone it knows" would make sense. If I was with my dog and he saw someone he knew, he'd naturally run over to them after being let go

Dog owner here: I moved a few times, once living with a roommate, a few years with a bf, and a few years with my sibling. My dog lived with them too so they formed a bond. Any time my dog visits with my sibling or an old friend/roommate he will run up to them like this because it's someone he knows and hadn't seen in a while. If I have been gone for a couple days, or even sometimes just at work, my dog will run up and focus on me like this... but if he's been around me 24/7 he'll be way more excited to see someone else he knows. I could imagine my dog doing this to my ex and if the judge ruled based on that she would be wrong

Also what is cut off in this video (but is in the original episode) is how excited the dog gets the minute he hears his owner's voice. When that lady first enters the court room carrying the dog, he is calm; but as she nears the owner you can see the dog kind of sniffing the air as she passes him, and then when the owner says his name, the dog literally starts jumping around in her arms trying to get to him.

What makes it worse is that you can TELL the black lady is fully aware it was stolen. She probably asked a friend to STEAL the dog for her. And now she has this story that doesn't make sense. Apparently she bought it from a stranger, involved her mother, complete BS to make it seem like she didn't blatantly steal this guys dog. She should be charged of stealing but she got her friend to do it. No wonder she only "paid" 50$ for the dog

That's a tough situation- you buy a dog only to find out it was stolen. If it were me I'd give the dog back and sue or ask for a refund from the person who stole the dog and sold it to me in the first place! Why let this go to court instead of giving this family back their dog?! Yeah I'm sure he runs up to everyone but not LIKE THAT. I hate how humans behave sometimes but glad they got their dog back.

ateiluj08 the thing that makes it worse is that it’s obvious that the lady knew it was stolen from the man, because when the lady brought the dog in, the other lady who was defending herself in this case for the dog said don’t multiple times to the lady who had the dog in her arms, telling her not to put down the dog.

have to go by a case by case basis. We rescued a dog from the shelter last year. We don't know how she got there, but she clearly has some abuse issues and if the previous owner saw her on the street with me there is NO WAY I would give her back based on her show of issues. She has come a long way in one year, but it is clear she was in a very bad place wherever it was before us.

I know someone who stole someone's dog. I'm guessing it got separated from its owner as it was wandering around but had a collar on. The person took the dog without looking for the actual owner and moved to another town while the dog was whining and looking out of the car's window. It's unbelievable and sick.. I hope there's a law or something that can get this person in trouble.. because of that person the actual owner will never know what happened to their dog.. I've talked to them and they don't see any problem with the fact that they stole someone's dog. Their username on Instagram is manbundaddy and I have proof that they stole the dog. I heard once that some lady kept a dog and it was considered stealing and charged her, so be careful

Shes a dog lover and owns small breeds. She has a small breed that goes everywhere with her. It even comes to do with show with her. The dog is kept in the back while they are taping. She's talked many times about her love for her lil dog. I'm sure in that moment it was hitting her heart hard bc she knows how bad it would be to have someone steal her dog.

Chips don't help when dogs are stolen. If the thief refuses to get the dog scanned it can't be forced by anyone but a judge. The thief can also have the info on the chip changed. All they have to do is go to their vet and say they bought the dog. The vet will update the chip for a client they know. They likely wouldn't for someone that's never been there b4 but they would for a regular client.

She already knew what was going on too. It was obvious and that's why she had the dog brought in. She knew what was going to happen. That lady knew that dog was stolen. She claims she bought the dog but I'm not sure about that. She either stole the dog herself or bought it from someone she knew had stolen it.
