@@MrV41N "could you please ask him again" is quoted, the person is just making a joke because her son tells the truth and not what her parents prepared him to say
@@missagente8100 Just because you have kids and grandkids doesn’t make you a good person connoisseur. But she have work at family court for decades before she started civil court and she met many family and kids and have the experience from there. Especially when parent want the kids to lie so they can get custody.
This is the reason you won’t let your kids take care of your dog. You have strict ownership responsibilities when you have a dog so never ever let a child take care of the dog when your not present. If you love your dog, don’t let your child go out by themself with the dogs. It can end up bad and the police give you a order to put the dog down. So when you got a dog it’s YOUR responsibility and only yours. Don’t put that on your underage kids.
Not necessarily. She didn't ask him what happened prior to the leash getting twisted. That other kid could definitely have been teasing the dogs. I hate it when JJ makes too quick of a call.
The question wasnt frased in a way that he would say that, plus kids are dumb, you should hear my baby sister trying to tell a story, misses out n so many details.
It doesn’t matter if he was teasing the dog or not…kids will be kids and dogs will be dogs. If you own a dog you are responsible for their actions. Our children, regardless of the bad choices they may make, need to be protected. If you want your dogs to run outside they need to on a leash or in a fence.
@@pink1237480the what happens to them it’s not like there wild animals and anyway all animals dogs especially are better than any person I have yet to meet. When I’m sad and alone it my dogs that give me comfort certainly not my parents just like all humans there pretty shit, but I love them anyway.
@@Enterprise1701J One, that wasn't a grilling. Two, if you tell the truth, you don't need to worry about whether you're being "grilled" or not, in a courtroom in your hometown or on Judge Judy's TV show. You answer the questions, then you go sit down.
Listen again. He looked at his parents after he said Chowie and Judge Judy thought he was saying Chihuahua. I think he wasn't sure at that point whether to correct her and looked at his parents maybe for guidance.
That video is clear. Those dogs were off leash, out of control and chasing that little boy. I don’t understand why the defendants feel like they’re not responsible.
@@kellyann5587 A kid shoudn't be the one holding a dog's leash. FOR THAT VERY REASON. i.e. that kids can't always keep hold of the leash. If a family owns a dog, the parents have to be the ones walking it. Letting a kid do it is basically the same as the dog being off leash.
Good thing his mom stood up for him, though. I'm a young adult and I can't even stand up for myself but when if I ever have kids, ill change to be a stronger individual for my kids
Are you kidding me? I believe he was teasing the dogs and the other kid didn't see it because he was concentrating on the bigger dog. He was in their yard and does this all the time. Stay out of the neighbors yard and leave the dogs alone. He was carrying a stick!
@@kellyann5587 another kid is also carrying a stick, does that mean she was teasing the dogs too? 🧐 carrying/playing with sticks automatically means that you’re teasing dogs. Kids can’t play with sticks anymore?
It's the usual suspects. This is why we have people going into schools and spraying everyone. The middle class parents making excuses for their offspring. You never see other types of people going into the schools; it's always a certain type. Typical.
@Celestial Wing those parents are everyone's problem. I got shouted at by customers like them in a shop. The shop assistant and other customers just let them do it. They don't suffer any consequences or have any accountability. When I saw someone verbally abusing a worker behind the counter I stuck up for him. He couldn't say anything because he was on the clock working but I could certainly say something. She turned her verbal abuse to me but I just said OK sweetheart have a lovely day goodbye now and that seemed to upset her more because she wanted a reaction. She ended up looking the fool and left
Even if a child that little was "teasing" my dog, I would be horrified to see it chase him and bite him. He clearly tries to run away and jump up out of biting range of the dog. Come on lady. When a neighbour like that does not care that her little 8 year old neighbour has been bitten that is all kinds of MESSED UP !!!!! Outrageous.
And if he does it “all the time” why didn’t they speak to him or his mum and ask her to explain the dangers of dog bites? And by the looks of the video all the kids where playing in the gardens, so why let your child take the dog out there in the first place? 🙄
@@kellyann5587honestly they shouldn't be letting their dogs out there with their kid unsupervised then, if there's a chance that they will bite this kid for teasing them. it's not the dogs fault, it's the owners responsibility to protect their dogs and other humans by being cautious who they're around if they're known to show aggressive behavior.
@@irynalebedyeva7900 depends on the teasing. Like humans, dogs have a tolerance limit and can only take so much. Then it’s either back off, or they make you back off. Age of the person is irrelevant to a dog.
I loved the little boy. There's no doubt in my mind he remembers the situation but being only like 6 or 7 he was probably too scared to talk to the Judge and wanted to sit back with his parents again.
"Could you please ask my son again now that he's aware of the answer you want to hear?" Funny, you coached your son before coming to court and you're STILL unhappy with his answer...
Judge Judy KNOWS DAMN WELL she's terrifying, lmao😂 Edit: And NO SHE JUST DID NOT ASK JJ TO ASK HER SON AGAIN!!!! You should've told him what to say right before court, lol!!! She's like, "Could ya ask him again, that's not what we rehearsed" lmao 😂
"Could you please ask him again" 😂😂😂😂He's sitting right there listening to the conversation ya dummy! Should of lectured your kid before coming to court 🤦♂
I really hope that kid didn't get yelled at by his parents for not remembering the rehearsed answer his parents wanted him to give... shows what kind of people they are. I hope that kid stays on the right track and doesn't go around lying.
Such shameful parenting, coaching your kid and teaching him how to lie and deny accountability, even when faced with video evidence. I feel bad for Malik being attacked, but I just feel plain sorry for that kid with horrible parents who you know are going to dish out punishment behind closed doors.
Poor Malik 😭 Seeing him try to jump up on that trash can was sad. I remember being chased by a pit bull and I tried to hide behind a tree and it came straight at me. I'm so glad that it didn't catch me. The neighbors tried to say she wouldn't have bit me and that she was just playing but I had a cousin that was MAULED by a pit bull. I was not in the business of trying to find out if it was nice or not 🙄 I can't believe the defendant said can you ask him again 🤣🤣 girl WHAT. LOLOLOL.
Even if a dog is friendly, it shouldn't be loose and running after people. Maybe the dog in your case was just playing, but you're right, you shouldn't have had to find out.
Even if Malik was teasing the dogs, that doesn’t give skylar or his parents the rights to let their dogs mauling and attacking Malik! The defendants very nearly fooled JJ into sympathizing with them when Judy read their answers until Skylar spilled the beans!
Agreed. As a dog owner, it is my responsibility (AND the responsibility of the parents) to prevent any child from teasing my dog in the first place. This is why you don't leave kids and dogs alone together, and any adult who does is responsible for what happens.
Look Drama Queen, the dog didn't maul him. Stop creating something that didn't happen. It bit him. Mauling is a whole different level of attack. Stop showing the world what a dunce you are and look the word up.
Because JJ knows if the witnesses are looking at the defendants/plaintiffs for assistance, they’ll likely tell them to lie for them. That’s why JJ doesn’t allow the defendants to say anything to the witnesses to lie for them nor the witnesses to look at the defendants and ask what they’re gonna say to the judge.
The video proved that the plaintiff's son never teased the defendant's dogs. They didn't want to pay the medical bills associated with the dog bite and take accountability. The plaintiff won the case
And even if he had, the owners would have been at least partly responsible, because you have to supervise kids and dogs together to prevent that. I mean morally responsible, since I can't answer for the legal side.
Definitely not true. Kids do lie. They don’t have to be taught how to lie - most do at some point or another. In this instance, this child was honest and good for him for being brave.
Why are they always like that? The animal owner always tries to deny that the incident happened. Then when they are presented with proof, they claim their animal was aggravated in some way. I think I only saw one case where the plaintiff's claims were ridiculous against the defendant and got dismissed.
I feel for Skyler!! He knows that it was an accident and that the dog just broke free off the leash and bit poor Malik. Good on Skyler for telling the truth to Judge Judy ❤ it’s not his fault! It’s his parents’ fault 100%
The way Judge Judy talked to the children, reminded me of how Grandma would speak to you. She is nurturing yet stern. I can see the world being in a better place if everyone had a grandma like Judge Judy.
She worked in family court for many years prior to this show, so she's very familiar with kids. And naturally, being a parent and grandparent herself, she understands that it requires patience to coax things out of a child and that screaming at them could be construed as abusive.
Grasping at straws is an understatement. “Can you ask him again?” “The bill didn’t say who it was for?” “The housing people said her camera was broken” “I don’t think the dog bit him” Folks, PICK A LIE PLEASE. Lol
Defendants are disgusting. Just take responsibility and pay the medical bills. Why does a judge have to tell these idiots to do the right thing? Even their 13 year-old son has more morals, scruples and dignity than his parents. SMH
The older boy took responsibility and told the truth. & even in the video he picked up a stick to chase n hit the dogs with. He's really sweet kid. Fs parents turn their kids bad. His parents are supposed to be setting an example. My dad woulda made us take responsibility if somethin happened. Poor kid. Help the kids do the right thing and feel good about it. Not do all this extra. You shouldn't feel bad for doing what's right even if it is your fault.
As someone who has been attacked by dogs several times at a young age....I have an extreme fear of dogs....people with dogs cannot comprehend how extreme it is for non dog people....
Prayerfully, Skyler didn’t get punished for telling the truth! As a substitute teacher, I learned that children tell the truth more when it’s a more calm conversation and not when they’re on the spot in front of the entire classroom!!!
Exactly, sometimes kids lie because their parents have them afraid to tell the truth. Sometimes when you fish for the truth from a youngster, compassion is the best bait.
Glad to see a small dog owner held responsible mfs with small breeds always have aggressive little jerks and they use the excuse that they are small and friendly
I have a small dog. Hes cute and he bites. He is NEVER alone or off leash. He only loves our family. I chase people, grown ups and kids, away all the time. They think hes adorable, which he is, and they want to pet him! I tell them he bites and they dont want to listen. He was a rescue and hes old. We know its up to us to keep him away from the public.
@@queenbee3647my grandma had a min pin (miniature pinscher) who was a little psycho too. She was fine with all us grandkids. Never was aggressive at all with us other than stealing my son's graham cracker right out of his hand. He was a year old and she grabbed it so fast and ran to the other side of the room with it and he was laughing so hard. Thought it was so funny until she started eating it and he realized he lost it for good lmao. Good thing I had more haha. But if someone approached my grandma's yard that she didn't know look out. I remember I was living with her for a few years and the police came to get me to look at a lineup to see if I could pick out someone that was going around from store to store that morning using a stolen credit card and this dog was going after the officer's like crazy. She of course was well aware that her dog was a psycho and held her back and ended up having to put her in her bedroom or tie her to the railing inside with her leash but yeah. Grandma constantly had to tell people to back off when she would walk her as well because most people that would reach out to try to pet her she would snap at. And if they were crossing paths with another dog or a squirrel or something holy smokes.
Getting your 8 year old son to lie over $800, have you any idea the effect that would have on his upbringing, you are telling him it’s ok to lie, to commit perjury in a court. What’s more disturbing is the fact the incident is on camera, no point in lying.
That is a primary example why dogs always should be socialized with people and other animals. If they had gotten to know their neighbors, they'd surely not have chased after him
Proud of Skylar for telling the truth. He brought justice for Malik. Kids are innocent - they know when something is wrong, and in proper environments, they'll stand up for what's right.
Judge Judy reminds me of my 4th grade teach Ms. Goldstein in Brooklyn, and she did not play! I miss her, because with all the tough exterior she really cared about us.
