@@samlexco God recognizes man's law and will put people in power to dispense His Justice. I'm sure Judge Judy has nothing to worry about. I'm sure He will say that she was a fine servant of his will, and say "Good job, you have done my will". I have no doubt about that whatsoever. Judge Judy has seen a lot of heart ache, a lot of sorry things come before her, she is wise and cannot unsee the things she's seen or been exposed to. After all her experiences, if she can still look at people and withhold her final judgment without jumping to a rash decision, then she's still a viable , rational Judge. Yes, a final Judge will judge us all, something to ponder on.

I completely agree with her about the children issue. Parenting is so hard. I know; I have 2 myself. But I'm not willing to sacrifice their discipline just because I'm tired or having a bad day. Lay down the law and stick with it. The more they know the law and the consequences of that law, they will be more willing to do the right thing. I don't care how I'm feeling; if they break the rules then it's my job to enforce them. Every. Single. Time.

I believe in tough-love, however Judge Judy left out one part in the juvenile segment. Juveniles are incarcerated and sent back to the neighborhoods they came from, and to the same situation they left. Fear doesn't change that.

On the contrary, if you watch the show, she usually tries to impart to the juveniles and parents that if something in the environment (friends, school, discipline etc) doesn't change, they'll probably wind up in jail or worse... maybe it is a fear tactic, but it can lead to change ultimately

i watched a youtube clip for 1 hour 30 min with a judge judy speech. I want to point out that judge judy didn´t actually take a big risk with her starting a shor at the age of 51. she said that before that she used to have hundreds of clients in family court per day!! so when she got the break to be in a show, work only maximum 5 days a moth, making a extraordinary salary - she thought that it was a bliss and not a risk! And you know this too Megan, so why you lie?

I love Judge Judy but it is kind of sad that when she started her new show Judy Justice her longtime bailiff actually Petri Hawkins-Byrd after a relationship spanning over 30 years professionally was not even offered to come back on Judy Justice and Judge Judy said that he "priced himself out" when he was never even offered or spoken to about money at all for the situation and he even says in a podcast that he would have accepted less if you was offered but he wasn't even offered. pretty sad but that's Judy for you.

she is a great role model for women. when negotiating salary u should always ask for more than the initial offer plus an addional amount u are willing to forego. however women are still given different treatment when it comes to salary...I think in the past 40 years the pay gap has shrunk only a couple of percentage points.

Here's Megyn Kelly, when she was (allegedly) making $23 million per year, trying to act like she was accepting tips from Judy Sheindlin about how to negotiate a favorable pay packet !!??!! AND, just recently, she was FIRED !! Apparently, she forgot the judge's recommendation about making herself indispensable !! Personally, I find Megyn attractive, and intelligent, but bland. Apparently, she didn't impress the suits at NBC too favorably either.

The problem with the envelop example is that almost NO ONE is in that position and dispensable! In 99.99% of all cases, if you do that, the other side will be like...oh, that's cute and nice, now here is a cookie, go back to work where you will be looking for work elsewhere and starting from the bottom.....again! In MOST ALL cases, that doesn't work, so the advice is basically useless imo!!

She sure didn t practice what she preached...Do what I say, but don t do what I do... I m very sad to see how she behaved with Bird....They worked together for the TV show 25 years,,It would of been nice to inform him that he wasn t chosen for the new program, instead of him finding out thru the grapevine..She behaved very badly... I followed J.J. religiously for years,,I liked her a lot,but not anymore....Judge Judy, discrimination gender, goes both ways.....

Love Judge Judy! Almost as much as Trump! No nonsense and doesn't care about being "politically correct." She just says it like it is. Love her!!! Very strong women. Very smart.
