Judge Boyd, if you read these comments. I want you to know, I think you are amazing. You are fair in all of your cases. You give our judicial system an A+. I wish more Judges had your ability to actually connect with the defendants in your court. God Bless You, Judge Boyd!
Unfortunately you can see in this kids eyes he’s just saying what he was told to say by his attorney and will ultimately end up back incarcerated. His mother feels guilty for not being a mom but it’s clear she can’t control him.
You and your beloved son haven't been in touch for 2-3 years, and you're in front of the judge lying for him. Make it make sense. Now it's ok for him to come live with you. You're going to take care of him and make sure he does what he is supposed to do. Right🙄
This guy had all the illnesses, bi-polar, depression and PTSD. He used his mother and the fact he has a young child to try and avoid jail. He's a psychopath. Judge Boyd, as usual, saw through all his manipulations and sentenced him fairly. Way to Go Judge!!!
So many are given a slap on hand, possibly a tiny fine, and N0 jaiI time! Therefore, why should they stop committing crimes, when they have N0 reaI reason to worry, if caught or not?
The mother during the 12 minute mark seems unwell. If she couldn’t provide supervision while he was a minor, with her excuse of personal issues, how does she think she can do it now? She has already proven he commits crimes under her watch. What is she going to do different now? Not why it wasn’t his fault and “boost his morale and our families”. If he didn’t listen to Mommy as a minor, I highly doubt he will married with a wife. Consequences for stealing tens of thousands of dollars should not be priceless.
Steel trap indeed! She writes everything down but forgets nothing, stays calm, moves things along, is pleasant to everyone no matter whether she's agreeing with them or not. Amazing judge.
I agree, well said. Life can be hard and scary and people do have to cope with anxiety. This guy through all he could at Judge Boyd to get her sympathy. The judge listened and made a great decision.
I understand how momma feels….dont get me wrong but my question is…What adulting lessons will this young man learn If..mom provides room, board food, transportation too and from whatever probation judge steps him up for. ALL CHILDREN MUST EVENTUALLY FLY THE COOP AND STAND ON THIER OWN TWO FEET. Mom Loves her son, I SEE THAT CLEARLY….. BUT, inMY OPINION….SHE NEEDS TO LET HIM DO IT FOR HIMSELF…. Maybe a couple yrs behind bars will do him good,???
these are the excuses you make when your kid is 12 yrs old. I've heard it said that if you keep on doing what youre doing you are going to get where you're going. These vids make me realize how much energy is expended by people going nowhere.
I think it's stupid. Kid is literally defined in the dictionary as a young child. Yes it also means a baby goat but saying you can't use a word because it has two different meanings shows a level of entitlement that baffles me. Judge you're not so important that you can belittle someone for using a word that is absolutely correct
That women thought she was going to get a slap on the wrist. Id put money on she will be back in the next few weeks. By the look on her face she wasnt going to do any of that. They just get that arrogent look on their faces and dont listen.
Judge Boyd amazes me in that she is courteous to everyone throughout the day. She is comfortable with authority and handles it without being superior and condescending. Treating everyone with respect is truly a gift. She is a blessing to so many people.
Judge ..that name is French…it’s BEAULIEU. And Not pronounced that way at all… I’m French Canadian and that name is very popular..I pronounce it the right way….my first language was French
Geez Miss Alvares looks totally doped up and belligerent about the entire procedure. She seems totally oblivious to the fact her mother is not only having to care for her 3 children, one a toddler, but to also provide a safe comfortable home in a loving atmosphere, be responsible for their welfare and education and keep them on the right path! Phew the amount of women we see in court who's parents are looking after grandchildren while the biological mother is in prison, on probation but an unfit parent due to neglect and drug taking is horrendous.
Easier said than done where a lot of them live. If you can, visit a juvenile hall and talk to some of the kids and ask them their living situation and surrounding conditions. Might change your mind
Judge Boyd you are one in a billion, you know the law like the back of your hand. You are beautiful inside and out. Please, please I just hope you are on the Supreme Court as soon as possible. My sons tried "we were with the wrong crowd" nope i said you are the wrong crowd, they never got in trouble again ,, i didn't know that would turn out that way,,,and,,, their dad had died of a heart attack tough up,be a parent
These people should watch some of these videos. How many times has judge heard; I've changed, give me a chance, you'll never see me again, I need to be there for my kids etc.etc.etc.?🤦🤦
I often wonder if Judge Boyd considers what these people say bc she reads everything. She goes through that file and the facts I often don't think she considers their words at all. They are all just trying to sweet talk her and she knows that.
I agree with you! So many defendents say if you give me probation I won't be back here from re-offending( which is just talk if this is their second offense.)
Dude she all ready had her mind made up before you got swore in this judge all ways put people in prison you should of knew you was not getting probation the damn prosecutor might as well be the judge and there's no use in getting a defense lawyer this type of judge keeps the prisons full and over crowded that guy should of got probation fire this judge she has no compassion for anyone
