Master_ E she’s an elected official. There’s no rules saying you can’t show emotion in while issuing your judgement, so long as your judgement itself is within the terms of the crime committed. A judge can give a maximum or minimum sentence for a crime, and whether their cool as a cucumber or speak with the righteous fury that God himself would feel towards a baby killer, she is within the rules of her position. And ultimately it will be up to her constituents whether she remains there at the next election.

It is not okay to tear off a child's toenails, and I would absolutely hate to have to get into that mindset just to understand. I don't know. Sometimes that conscious can hit you hard afterwards. Yes she needs to be held accountable to the fullest. There are people out there who can't have a child but been glad to love and raised that child. If I had to kidnap that child to raise and love it before the mother killed her and get arrested for doing so than shall be. I was raped at six..I don't believe in capital punishment. Trial by jury is different. Judges don’t make the call when it is trial by jury. That’s usually why people want a jury trial. Better chance of beating the case usually.

Where I come from (Germany) it's hard to be considered for adoption, they want foster parents because they are in much more demand, if you are not wealthy you cannot adopt.

I had a medical reason why I couldn't get pregnant. I pray it can work for you too. I had surgery. Scar tissue block everything. Once remove I got pregnant only once!
I can feel her anger. Anyone who picks their boyfriend/girlfriend over their own kids and lets them do those torturous things to their babies are lower than life. My heart hurts for that child. 😡😡😡

Even though judge Vonda Evans never knew this child personally, she would've been a much better parent/mother to her than her own disgusting and downright awful biological mother EVER would have in her entire life. I wish she would have been the judge to handle my visitation hearing with my son's father. I'm not saying that my judge in the case didn't do a good job, I'm just saying that I wish that this woman would have been. His family has treated me horribly and has called me a terrible mother and treated me incompetent and stupid just because I left their son and brother and press charges on him and now have a restraining order. I wish that she could have told them that I did not deserve what he put me through and what they put me through and that my child is my child whether they like it or not. They've basically tried to take him from me since the day he was born. After he was born, they treated me like a surrogate. They basically treated me like you've given us what we wanted now you're dismissed, you don't matter anymore. Unfortunately a lot of women are treated this way after birth. I believe that it can contribute to postpartum depression. My ex's sister, you would think that my son is her baby the way she acts. I'm just glad that I don't have to deal with them very much anymore.
Sorry Scott, thats not true. I was in prison with some women that where baby killers and they had friends and acted like everyone else. My friend said i needed to be careful who i talked to because you never knew. And I eventually did because I did some rime. But who was I to judge them. I just didnt associate myself with them.
When I worked in the kitchen in prison a child murderer got beat down and nobody said who did it. Nor did the girl who got beat out of fear of retaliation. All for the murder

My mother just stood there and watched how my older half-siblings were treated by my father. I'll never forgive my parents. If I'd break up with my husband and my new boyfriend would lay hands on my kids, I swear, I would shove him through the door... While it's closed though!
Well, that is what I have chosen. I lost my hubby to cancer in 2013, he was only 47, me 43, first daughter 9, finally turned up daughter 10wks old. I promised my 9yo straight away that there'd never be a step dad. (No offense meant to all the wonderful stepdads out there, it's just something I couldn't risk)

Adoption is always an option. I’m adopted, and it bothers other people a hell of a lot more than it bothers me 🤷♂️ the secret is to never let it be a secret. I’ve always known I was adopted, but that doesn’t make my parents any less my parents. The only detriment I’ve ever had is that there was a 6th grade science assignment I couldn’t complete because it involved making Punnett squares of family members to see what genes you share. ...come to think of it, that was actually a bonus, since I got to skip an assignment. To a preteen boy, that’s pretty much the best day ever lol

My children are adults now. I have often said "my kids come first". My boyfriend didn't like this and often sarcastically reminded me of what I have said. He now lives in his own apartment because my kids come first. I do not comprehend how a mother could sadistically hurt and kill a baby over a man.

I was the same way. Kept men completely away because one objected to the fact that I allowed my kids to invite their dad in to share a meal with them if he stopped by when I was still at work. It meant so much to my kids to have some special extra time with their dad.I was happy for them and they werent alone. They came first. Years later I married a man who loved me BECAUSE of the way I was to my children. We had 30 wonderful yrs together & he was also a great dad and grandpa. The best. I'll see him in Heaven. Ladies, put your children first!

I was saddened to hear of the suffering that her daughter must have suffered and the judge summed it up so well , I don't understand how a mother and adult could mistreat a child so badly and causing death .

My children are grown and I have been married for over 30 years. I always said that if my husband and I ever parted I would NEVER bring another man into my home while my girls lived there. You hear these sad, terrible and tragic stories over and over. Nobody is more important than my children. The death penalty should be automatic for child torturers, abusers, rapists and killers. To me, it's the ultimate sin. They are innocent and defenseless. The same should go for anyone mistreating or killing animals. There is no justification for either. PERIOD!

You know what. The death penalty needs to be automatic in all cases involving child abuse/torture/murder ect ect. I dont care if that sounds inhumane. I really dont. Not a single thing will change how I feel about that
We put down a dog for biting in defense of a child pulling it's ears and tail. But we don't put down a person for killing and torturing children, innocent babies who are learning the world and should never have to learn what a backhand is or a belt is or rape is. She deserved to be electrocuted to death.
But isn't that an easy way out. Why does she get to die easily when that little girl died so miserably. I think she should just rot in jail and hope she has the most painful death. Even calling her an animal is an insult to animals cuz they don't torture their children.

I had first, second, and three degree burns on my chest when I was seven years old when I was accidentally burned by hot coffee. I can tell you I am in my forties now and I will never forget that seering pain! I don't wish a burn like that on anyone. I remember that day I got burned like it was yesterday, it was that bad! May that poor child mentioned in this case be at peace. 🙏
I am so sorry you had to go through such an unfortunate event. Who was responsible for spilling the hot coffee on you? Did your family sue this person for negligence? I have two children myself and am very protective of them, and anyone who harms them, whether intentionally or not, is in big trouble.
This is why I do not let my children get close to me when I have a hot drink until it cools down. Before I had my kids, I used to work with participants with special needs, and if I had a hot drink I would leave the group with it until it cooled down. Third degree burns often lead to disfiguring and maybe even crippling scars, but fortunately, advanced reconstructive surgery can greatly improve the situation.
@Erica Swenson That's good that you are so careful. My mom was slowly walking from where the coffee pot was to the table and she didn't have time to react to my running. I'm lucky I have no scars. I think because I was so young and getting great treatment helped. Anyways, May you and your family stay well! ; ) 💕
