i was told by a pastor the only reason a person has depression is becoz they have sin in their life. So in other words the reason this pastor is not having depression is becoz he doesn't have sin. I left that place thank God

But that doesn't mean I can still continue to purposely sin when I know what's right and what's wrong. We're going to still make mistakes but we must confess our sin to Jesus and it's ok

I think it comes down to an issue of guilt and shame over past transgressions, and some people, even though they found Jesus, still can't get over that shame. And maybe they're afraid of feeling too full of themselves. I know I personally wrestle with those feelings, although I can't speak for everybody.

Whenever I think about judgement I always read this quote by C.S Lewis There are two kinds of people: those who say to God, "Thy will be done," and those to whom God says, "Thy will be done."

I just started watching your videos, starting with my search on underground christian rock bands. There you were on the sidebar, and I am actually really enjoying your video's. Thank you for this one, God always speaks when you need to hear it the most. Thank goodness that there'll be no replay of my sins, because I am a recovering addict with several felonies and mistakes, but thanx to the grace of God, those thinks are null and void!!

thank you so much Pastor Bob, I love the way you're so positive when preaching to us Christians. I had some horrible time with some pastors that are always saying that to be a christian and earn Heaven is very very difficult and many of us are not going to make it. I have been very depressed lately believe that have a relationship with Jesus and God is like walking on eggshells. No matter what you is never good enough to God and the Lord . bless you.

"...as far as the east is from the west." God didn't use as far as the north is from the south, but east from west. If you go north, you will, eventually, start going south (at the north pole). If you go south, when you hit the south pole, you'll start going north. If you go east, you will always go east and never start going west. Same with going west, you'll never start going east. Our sins, thanks to Jesus, are infinitely removed from us.

A non-literal reading of Torah - 5 books of Moses - along with its echoes in the New Testament, suggests, to me, that "not sinning" is not a part of our dilemma. It is the making of acceptable sacrifices to G-d in the name of Jesus in the process of living. Our walk with G-d is moment to moment. We may be a Christian one moment and, inadvertently (at times) not so much in other moments. Through Christ's death and rising, we live Torah; otherwise we won't allow it to live in us.

I was raised Fundamental Baptist. It wasn't a church sermon if Pastor didn't get red in the face for at least half an hour and screaming so furiously that he spit. Sermons lasted 2 -3 hours. No wonder kids of my era don't like church. Pastor made it miserable.
