First time Tushishvili and Riner met is the one that went into golden score with Tushishvili almost scoring with Deashi (2017 World Championships), second time was same year open weight world championships, that's where Riner got 2 scores, and at club Championships Tushishvili caught him with counter in 2022. I think Riner is really going to struggle here if Tushishvili shows up at his best.
The only other judoka who won the Olympics in two different weight classes was Waldemar Legien, a Polish who won U78kg in 1988 and U86kg in 1992 ... So a while back 😅 Also, Riner talked about pushing to the 2028 Olympics.
I would love for SAITO to win but I don't think he's quite there yet. I think RINNER will take it out because this may be his last Olympics and it's in his home town.
Regarding what you said at the beginning of the video about the other judoka who scored two gold medals in two different weight classes in two different Olympic Games - Waldemar Legień has done it before.
Used for the Gym competition. The Judo venue is a temporary hall meant to host the exhibitions of the Grand Palais which was renovated for the Fencing competition. The arena will be dismantled at the end of the year.
I think Riner will take it, and it will look ugly in the final. Riner winning by shidos. I really hope someone else takes it because we need a change now. I hope Saito takes it.
Poor Puumalainen, but that's the name of the game. There's no easy pass to medals in these pools, you really have to take down tough guys to make it. But I think he still has one olympic cycle left in him to develop his competition skills.
well without tasoev this kategorie is absolutly downgraded. he is by far the strongest fighter and everyone knows it. shame on IOC who has stolen the deserved olympic gold medal from him. this is one of the crulest robbery in the history of sport.
Hey great content. Just for curiosity who is the owner of this channel? You seem to have some insight information and those type of stuffs, are you an ex-athlete or something?
I was just in Japan and got the top of the line Mizuno Judogi for competition from the Mizuno flagship store in Tokyo. $192.00 USD (US Dollars) Even though I have a Blue and white Kusakura Gi’s.
I think he said that whenever he makes videos about women, they get no views. It's not about misogyny, more like providing what the audience is interested in.
