Two years later, whole brain has changed, lost everything, her future, her friends, her lover, but still got the stupid injection marks from that one time with Vik lmfao
Technically this is a happy ending but it will take a couple of months to see it. Cyberware we cant use anymore ok. But whats stopping us from using Bioware? Bioware is basically nanontech and whiles its somewhat weaker than having arasaka/militech level cyberware, you still can have superhuman level feats. It just takes a longer process compared to instant cyberware. And kerry doesnt mind helping money wise, he is just on tour. So our "friends" sorta ditched us after the shit we did for them? Ok it blows but we will get over it eventually and make new better ones. Everyone thinks the legend V is dead? Ok, means we got a new start in life and can just LEAVE night city after we get bioware and kerry could just buy us a safe house and trainers to get our bodies right again.
@@NotoriousBagel00 Ill be honest, part of my thinking into my comment was based on what I was going through in my own life and realizing the more positive aspects besides all the bad that happened to me and applied it to this ending, so I sorta cheated 😅😅 This ending is basically a restart on life and people think its negative cause they assume we are crippled for life. No, we cant use cyberware and our bodies HAS been in a coma for 2 years so of course we feel like shit. Give us some time and help from the remaining friends and things will be just fine.
Bro it’s so messed up, you do all this crazy stuff to save your life, but instead. You lose most of your life within what seemed like a long nap but a two year long coma. Everyone you know, Gone or moved on. Man that hit hard for me when I played as my character 😢
Honestly, this ending is more hard hitting than any others and I think it really hits hard because in a way it shows the reality some veterans have to leave with, when they go to fight for their country, only to return home broken, forgotten and abandoned by the very people they fought for. :(
@@KRONOS_INF At least V will still be able to work with Reed. For me what makes it more messed up is how everyone else seems rather miserable, well at least except for Judy who's living out her fairy tale. I kinda think even with the other endings, this ending shows a reality of what could become of the other characters. Seeing Victor now working under a corporate was crushing, and Misty being no longer there.
In my timeline, Judy or Paname knows that I need treatment and she comes with me and waits for me to recover, knowing that I will eventually come out of the coma. It doesn't make sense for her not to know about the surgery and the fact that you are in a coma if she is supposed to be your girlfriend. To save Saul or Evelyne, there are people who would move heaven and earth, but not here?
I was really sad at this ending. Even the suicide ending didn't make me this sad. The ending of going with Judy and the Nomads is still a better ending. I vowed not to do this ending again. We were not people who deserved this treatment.
@@McKnlght On the bright side, V can go work for NUSA along with Solomon Reed even if its a desk job. At least she doesn't have to stay in NC where she most certainly likely at risk of dying at the hands of some cyberpsycho any time she steps outside. I like it, not for my current V though... I'm aiming for the blaze of glory ending soloing Arasaka alone and becoming a living legend with a few months to live lol. Maybe on my second playthrough I'll give this ending a go.
I spoiled my self for this ending because I knew 100% I wasnt changing the main ending. I chose to romance Judy and then leave with her and Panam. I will be doing that again 100% !! I dont like the Panam one where they just cut you off but you are supposed to be "family". I also dont like this one as you and judy could have just been a cannon thing for ever I mean same as panam. What I dont understand just like Arasaka ending is seriously in ALL this time, no one NO ONE could have told anyone what was going on ??? Literally would have kept relationships gonig if they truly cared. Now I am not sure about Panam but Judy 100% would have left to be near you and waited. I think Panam would but I feel like she would have to leave her family and that just doesnt seem right to do that. Sadly I can understand cutting things like this though ....... To me it means they will not have those characters in Orion. I dont think it would make sense to continue 1 branch for V when all other cut out everyone or you die 😭😭
@@darth_cheezussame here, Soo glad I spoiled myself just to know what to avoid, knowing cyberpunk there had to be a twist with this new ending. I'll gladly take 6 months with Judy and the aldecaldo gang over anything at this point
>V getting to live out the rest of their lives as a normal human being was worse than blowing your brains out on a dirty rooftop I feel like the people hating on this ending need some therapy
Judy ending is either lazy writing or feels very forced. Considering that when Evelyn Parker went missing, Judy would go to the ends of the earth looking for her through the help of fixers and mercs alike. Yet, V goes dark and Judy be like "well fuck that."
This made me cry. I was so looking foward to see Judy again and get my Happy end. But this end broke my heart :/ No Ending of the game was really satisfying :/
Mercenary of a dark future, V really doesn’t have anyone left honestly except for Viktor, Misty maybe Rogue, but River turned to crime if you romanced him. But V’s hurt about the fact that they can’t use cyberware anymore and what’s worse was they don’t have anyone there for them anymore, if Jackie wasn’t killed off early in the game maybe the endings for Phantom Liberty would be different.
Cyberware no, But BIOWARE we can still use. Basically its nanotech and people dont use it much causes is somewhat weaker than high quality cyberware and the process takes longer to gain compared to cyberware thats instant. Kerry had no issues helping, he was just on tour. He would be more than happy to send the munnies needed for the procedures and a safe area we can train up our bodies again. It will take a long time but we can be back in action one day.
Looking at the good side, we have something to learn from these games as well, this incident with V and Judy also happens in many cases in real life, so be careful who you have next to you! "Be Careful Who You Trust, Sergeant. People You Know Can Hurt You The Most."
It's true, Judy, I'm not waiting for her true love, but look on the bright side, they've ended up peacefully and as friends, not like when she ended up with Maiko, but for me it's not the true ending, but rather we're leaving with Judy and Panam and I'm excited about the change. In 2 years V and Judy still love each other, I think it's more noticeable in Judy.❤
@@salsaeater2023 I don't know what to say, anyway the endings are mixed, the thing is if you try to save yourself you will be forgotten by all your friends, so anyway my opinion is that it's a crappy ending, but we also have to look at the bright side because we have something to learn from the experience with V and Judy.Anyway, bad what Judy did.
V survived, but for what everything you fought for in the game just to lose it all. For fem V Judy was the sweetest romance, but not having the happy ending of being together at the end ouf. Really makes leaving with the nomads the best ending as there is still time together.
The true ending of Phantom Liberty is much worse. V lost everything including friends and lovers, but only life. In the end V still got a second chance, to start all over again.
Play baldur’s gate 3 choose to romance karlach to find out the happy ending with her is only “Go to hell together”ending . And now I’m playing cyberpunk 2077 to find out that’s the happy ending with Judy is only “leave night city together and V can only alive for 6 months “ someone slap my face pls lol
This seriously broke my heart 💔 I put my heart and soul into the whole Judy and Valerie romance and after everything that has happened... THEY BREAK UP AND GO THEIR SEPARATE WAYS 😭
Honestly I don’t blame her I mean form Judy’s pov she probably thought V died it’s not like she knew V was in a coma and it’s not fair to expect her to not move on for 2 years in the KMS ending you can see she has a emotional breakdown over losing you and Evelyn
I have never gone close to tears when playing a video game but that call and the entire ending broke me After I did that ending I did the Aldecaldos one to feel better…
@@iRahulBodana It's Cyberpunk!! No happy endings there.... Only the megacorporates and political overloads stand to win and gain anything. For everyone else, they are just striving in futility. Kinda the essence of a purely nihilistic dystopian world. The happiest ending a pleb can have in such a world is dying with a smile on their face like David.
@@iRahulBodana It is because the city doesnt really have good endings really. To me romancing Judy and leaving with her and Panam will always be the best ending. Truthfully though it gives them a clean slate to have new people in Orion and not bring any of these characters, except maybe in new or lore articles. There is only one ending each romance where you leave with lover and all other you die I think. Idk just this hurts honestly
You're alive, but you're basically dead after coming back from a coma. You get striped from all your friends and loved ones who you came across during the whole ordeal with Ev's gig, and you got turned into a bald NPC beaten by two random thugs on the street. I don't understand how this ending is better than sending Johnny off and coming back to Judy in the original.
It also proves that there is likely a great cost to that cure that V will have to endure, and in most cases people who come to V claiming they can cure him/her are most likely full of bullshit like Songbird was. Still, if the choice is this and having 6months to live? Yeah, would take the 6months to live life to the fullest rather than basically being crippled and alone for the rest of V's life.
V cant use implants aside from koroshi thats fine but she/he is not crippled though, whats stoping them from exercising or just getting some nice old fashioned iron. Even with all this..i still gotta say this is possibly the best ending snd my favorite. A clean slate, after everything that happened a new beginning
After all V was a merc for 6 months with 0 cyberwear. V really only relied on Cyberweaer for what? 2 weeks in canon? Then most of what makes V is her skills. V forcing open doors, throwing grown men like sacks of flower, air dashing deflecting bullets with a swords all can be done with just the starter cyberwear. Vs dash ability is a skill. What did V really loose? Sandevistans, and double jump ? Idk they tried really hard to make this ending sad but it’s full of plot holes. People do 0 cyberwear runs…they beat Adam Smasher with nothing but kyroshi and the hand modifications so it’s really not important she can’t use cyberwear. Also I just can’t buy it. Judy going from in a relationship to married in 2 years? Like her wife is basically just a rebound.
Cd really went "you want a cure ending, well here you go and fy eat our 💩." Why cd, why? This isn't about the realistic situation of a possible i know people can and will move on after 2 years. Cd definitely could have made this more light hearted but instead it just gave you a big ol fy. So either there's another dlc coming or we're waiting on cyberpunk 2.
Hey Hey Hey this ending is true test of friendship and loyalty I was pissed off at first too but then I saw it. only Kerry ,Misty and Viktor remain true friends also you rob yourself for one last mission
I like that The Star is open to interpretation unlike this. You leave NC with Judy and the Nomads. They have hope that V can be cured. My interpretation is she rode off into the sunset with Judy, found her cure and they lived out a happy ending. There are no happy endings in Night City, but what if you leave Night City?
Ok just because i can't proced to live without magic copium my head canon is that : They remove the chip, V still have cyberware and Judy have waited for her. Yeah that good
Shit that sucks! Judy's married. Panam and the other Aldecaldos be ghosting V. Vik's a no-go. River and Kerry -- all of V's chooms done up and left her. So not preem. So not fucking Nova. Man that stinks.
Yeah this new ending is not worth it, I was way more happier with the suicide ending. Guess I'm pretty selfish but to see everyone moved on after only 2 years that fast..
I think this is a sad ending, but not a bad ending by any means. This is nothing like the Devil ending or Suicide ending. V knows that theres light at the end of the tunnel, she was legitimately cured from the biochip and doesnt have to live with the possibility of her dying at any point in her life anymore. That comes with the 2 sacrifices, her cyberware, and the ones she loved. I dont think cyberware is honestly a huge deal, she can work as intelligence somewhere given her combat experience or just... live a normal life, one possibily in the care of the NUSA. Its a "clean break" for her, whether she realizes it or not, and that outcome is definitely a rarity for a Night City merc. The others? Well... they've moved on. Life happened, its been 2 years with no word from V at all. Everyone who was close to V absolutely had the right to react the way they did, whether it was Panam or Judy. Im happy Judy was able to find some shred of happiness. Leaving NC, finding love again, starting a new life. She doesnt push away V, she even offers her to come and visit, and she seems to be over V, not mad at her, and sort of at peace with what happened. I think she has forgiven V after all this time passed. She has her own life now. What was Judy supposed to do, just sit around and wait for her for two years? Not knowing at all what happened to her? Is life supposed to suddenly stop for Judy, Panam and the rest because of V's bs? This is a very realistic ending, and I think it can be happy depening on perspective. V isnt in NC anymore, shes legitimately cured, and has essentially a clean slate, in a place that's much safer and stable than NC. V can find love again, make new friends, and start a new life for herself. Which is, again, not something everyone can get in this world, especially from places like Night City.
V's BS? I mean he/she literally risked their short lives killing for these people and saving them and their loved ones *cough* *cough* the aldecaldos. without V's intervention they'd still be stumbling through night city aimless stuck in their miserable lives not changing and in River and Kerry's case making poor decisions; they basically owe V for that new life they got yet they just threw them away at a time when they are needed the most.2 years is not a long time I can understand 5 but 2 aint much time has passed.
The unrealistic part is that V did not warn either Panam or Judy of where they were going. Or just gave their contact to Reed in case of any complication, or setup a dead man switch if they don't trust him. Like anyone sane undergoing brain fucking surgery. The fact V return to NC like some drone that did not understand what an absolute terror the city was is the icing on the cake of a bad ending.
I agree with you. I dont like this ending, but its not bad storywise, cause V accepting the job from Reed is a very promising future. Her losing everything is a trauma, but with all the help from Reed and the FIA, she can get through it. People forget that the game litereally starts with V starting a new life. Especially on corpo path where it is legit the same. She loses all her cyberware, most of her money, her job, her contacts, her apartment and so on, and starts a new life with one choom, Jackie. Now she can restart with Reed as a choom.
soo all the endings are crap so prity much your ment to die at the end, even the v lives endings are bad so to sum up no one really loved v even the romance intrests
@@keeperofnecronomicon I swear y'all are doing this on purpose. Its not about V vanishing. Its about V coming back and telling them the very valid reason why he/she vanished and being met with the cold shoulder. V needs help here. Yet no one wants to be their for him/her except Vic.
O que eu acho triste com todos os personagens, é que nem amizade eles se importaram em ter com o/a V, simplesmente deixaram pra lá e esqueceram de tudo que o/a V fizeram por eles
Judy was lonely for 2 yrs that's not long she just jumped to another person that quickly 😢 v I kinda get if it was like 6 too 7 yrs then yeah but 2 yr you could have been dating Judy was a lost cost anyway😮
I still say i see a enchaanced edition to sorta fix this. But already alot people who waiting for weekend to play saying they were getting refunds over the endings. Which is kinda The DLC itself wasnt bad at all..
I dunno, getting a refund just because you are not happy with the ending seems a bit much. It's still a great game, phantom liberty adds a lot lore wise, gameplay wise and story wise. It is fitting for that world as sad as it is. I wouldn't refund it just because I don't like the endings.
@@phillipchappell6013 I mean fair enough... I think for most of those people, they almost kinda expected a futuristic gta or something along those lines. Just a glorified power fantasy in a cool looking futuristic city. However, cyberpunk in essence is all about despair and helplessness in an overbearing dystopian city.
@@orwellmushaikwa2591 sides losing your li. Likeed the cost of your cyberware for the cure. So i am tore which side i would take. I enjoyed the dlc. Except I have the police nott responding bug. Personally I decided not refund games unless they utter trash. But then i just usually install and hider it.
The entire world of Cyberpunk is built on bad endings. You're fooling yourself if you play all of the quests where everyone loses, but don't expect the same for yourself. The game says to your face that's how Night City lies to you, then traps you. You played the wrong game.
Almost finished with romancing Judy on my current playthrough, but after hearing V's choked up voice lines in this clip..... River Ward lookin pretty good rn 🔥
I’m sorry but this was my first ending and the one where rogue dies and v becomes infamous, Johnny lives in cyberspace or something. I didn’t understand nothing of that ending and resorted to google my answers. This ending with v on dlc was god damn terrible! I did the right thing that hacker girl was selfish and a damn serial killer. Every mess she was in was her doing and I betrayed her but it was the right thing and this is wat I get? This is miserable! The writers did an amazing job for all the writing in all missions but the endings f’ing terrible! Wat we’re they thinking? Also the final mission the call with reed, Johnny tells me to not go through with it. We’ll find another way. Omg I was like yes! I was in tears I loved Johnny. We grew a bond. I didn’t want to lose him yet the game wouldn’t let me end it there. They force u to make the call or u get no ending… wtf? I hope in the sequel they just find a way to bring Johnny back and everyone’s alive for a good ending. This time if anyone dies then they do. It’s only right for their convoluted mess of endings they wrote. I want panam, Jude’s, rogue, the one eyed dood and of course her friend in the beginning the Mexican guy. Wat a cool character and we lose him in 5 missions. God man!
Dang. 2 years was all it took for her to get married. That doesnt add up. V and judy were a pretty serious romance, that shouldve been marriage but it wasnt. And v and judy were pretty intimate at that in their time. It took 2 years to marriage? Judy was definitely seeing some people behind v's back. 😂
You only know each other for a few weeks. That only proves to me that Judy gets attached quickly. Sure, relationships can start like an inferno, but something changing that dynamic can also kill it just as quickly. After everything that happened I don't blame her for leaving the city and trying to find stability as soon as possible.
Nah, I think you mix up what we as players know and what actually happens lorewise. We know that Judy is not that stable and running around trying to find her place in the world. What do they actually do together? You help her to save Evelyn and comfort her after Evs death. Then you help her with the clouds, but that plan fails one way or the other. For me its like V is one of the only things left to Judy, so she gets very attatched to her (not denying that there also is love involved, tho). That is basically all there is to their relationship. Also consider that the events in CP play over the timespan of only a few month. Its not like they are together for years. The problem, and the cause for this ending being so depressing, is that we players know this game for almost three years and propably got very attatched to the characters over that time. We can inspect Judys apartment, read her mails and read her lore, leading us to know way more about Judy than Judy knows about V. Also by now you may have seen a lot of fanart, read fanfictions or made up your headcanon of Judy and V. With all that information it feels like Judy betrays their relationship, but thats not true. From Judys perspective, she lost her best friend and, depending on how you decide, also friends from clouds. She literally tells you that she plans on leaving NC and that V is the only reason she stays any longer. Now V disappears and doesnt answer the phone. Her then searching for a new output not to stay alone and leaving the city like she already planned to, is very understandable.
F i wanted to buy series s cuz im old gen i wanted good ending with judy in phantom liberty but if this is the result nope i stick with my xbox one s xddddd bruhh judy is best romance and this is what they give us hell nahh 😅😅😅
Comments: Realistic! No happy ending in night city! Me: Then I play the card "It's a video game!" With that card in place I can now summon Game Protagonist! Now I draw two more cards, Now I *Reads the manual* I tribute summon the Isekai Goddess with her on my field I can transfer my V to any game where there is a CAC and I choose Starfield! Now my V is a space explorer with a crew that won't leave and her she'll become a legend among the stars! TLDR, This game is too depressing and I don't need that now.
