Forcing the opponent to unironically play out a 5-mana giant frog in timeless is literally the biggest win ever.

still... waiting to play around spell pierce, he would drop to 8, and his plan is to win with bolas' citadel, so i think its still worth going for it then even if u do anticipate it

Mono Black Magic played all the leylines, then he played a reanimator deck, then he played a mill deck. This deck is different than all 3 of those

It’s just the only way to word it within mtg’s overarching rules. If it didn’t target opponent but also said you and target opponent it would be a rules break that’s prevented by using multiplayer capable formatting.

I doubt it. Multiplayer would have to be yearrrs down the line

@@zackestin1368You could have each player choose an opponent similar to cards like Sauron's Ransom to get around targeting. Specifically saying player to the right seems oddly specific for a 1v1 card.
