Congratulations on your new purchases. I have this serger and love it! Hands down it beats the three I had before. It’s keeps the tension which was always a factor on my previous sergers. Where I live we don’t have a Juki dealer. I bought mine through Amazon. After reading the reviews, I took the plunge and ordered and to my delight this as been the best serger I’ve ever owned. Your review was spot on. Thank you for sharing.

Great review Kim and I couldn’t agree with you more! I’ve had the juki mo2000 for the past 3.5 years and love it too! I do a lot of bags out of heavy upholstery materials and this thing sergers thru it like butter ! Still original knife too! Thx for the review and your videos! Can’t wait til u get your new feet and would appreciate new videos on those as well!

I have this serger sitting in a box for over 2 years, using my old serger that I love. It's a singer that I bought when I worked for Singer close to 40 years ago, one of the first ones Singer sold for him sewers. But I think once I get my Christmas presents completed I'll get my new one it out of the box.

I just bought the MO-1000 because of your review! It is so quiet and stable. I had an Husqvarna Viking Amber s 100 and it was to loud and vibrated to much for my taste.

Good afternoon from the Netherlands, Thanks for the explanation. It was really clear and helpfull. I will follow your channel, because I like to see and learn from you. It's a long time ago I have been sewing but now, because of our grandchildren I'm starting again. But the experience has left me a little bit. So your videos are really welcome. With Greetings 🌻🤗🌷 Ines

I have been looking for a new serger but have been put off buy all of the reviews where clearly ther is a commercial interest, but when I saw your review I knew it was going to be honest from a real user. thanks also for mentioning the use of correct needle type I have always wondered about that.

Hi Kim. I'm a bit late to this party. Thank you for your review. I'm looking to purchase this overlocker early next year. I've just purchased a Juki HZL-DX7 which I absolutely love. I'm looking to replace by Brother overlocker which I've never liked. I'm in New Zealand and Juki is not that well known here. The nearest Juki shop is five hours drive from me. I've become quite the Juki convert. As well as the DX7 I have the TL 2010Q for bag making and the coverstitch machine as well. Your review has persuaded me that this will be the machine for me. Thank you once again. Take care.

What a thorough review, thank you! It looks much easier to use than my Baby Lock.

My brother 1034 has given me zero problems, but i know its just a matter of time. This is my dream serger.

It seems that it has basically the same features as my Babylock Imagine, which I love! I used to have a Bernina (non air) and we didn't get along.

Great review. I don't know if South Africa has Juki. But a serger is on my list for Christmas. This video helped me know what features to look for.

I have the Judi MO1000 and I LOVE IT! Best serger I have had, and I’ve had 3 others before this one.

Thanks for a great review. My Babylock Imagine Wave is suffering from old age so I was looking for info on the Juki. It says on my Imagine that it was made by Juki. I am tempted!

My serger didn’t come with seam markings either. I found a clear small sticker seam allowance guide that adhered great and has been there for a good 30 years. I would bet there is something out there today...better than a sharpie! 😉

I too have a serger that has no seam guide markings, it’s like driving blind. I put a bit of tape where the 5/8 should be, at least I can remove it if I need to.. I can’t understand why some machines are like this.

Seeing how tiny those clothes are (so cute), I wonder what you think of a free arm feature on sergers. I see that not many have it, including this one. So just curious if it's not that necessary of a feature on your opinion? Thank you for this review!

Excellent video! Are you still using the serger? If yes, would you still recommend it? Any issues since the date of video?

Kim after a year of using it do you still love your serger?
@dorothysdaughtersews
@dorothysdaughtersews 2 года назад
Yes, definitely! The air threads has become even easier as I have perfected how much lead it needs to push it through. It is smooth and barely ever has any problem at all- and that is usually operator error.

@@dorothysdaughtersews thank you ! I am really debating on whether to get the 654de or the 1000. Threading doesn’t bother me but I just want a machine that can handle a heavy workout.

Kim can it cover stitch also?
@dorothysdaughtersews

No, it is only a serger. I’ve heard mixed reviews about having a combo. It gets old converting it back and forth. I have two machines on one desk.
