Thank you so much, I'm going to buy a surger in the next few weeks. I have been sewing for many years but was always scared of using a surger but now I will buy one because of you.
Im new to surging and your video was great timing for me. Just the inspiration I needed. I'm going to try surging the bella donna pattern. Wish me luck
Will have to try the Tee pattern. I'm trying so hard to not keep buying patterns, and then along comes Kim, and Joy, and Karina, and Viv, and Janet & Jessica! Always love your videos! Happy Birthday to Love Notions!
Very clear instructions. I have had my serger for many years and have used it just a few times and always after watching a video or taking a serger class. Then I don’t use it for months and forget all I learned. Hoping I can stick with it this time. Thanks.
I just bought a Juki 1000 and I was looking for a You Tube to help me learn what all it can do. I am glad I found you and looking forward to reviewing your sessions..
Hi Kim I have a Judi overlocker and it is the best machine I have ever bought it runs like a dream it does everything I ask of it so well I am in Australia and watch all of your videos I really enjoy your videos I learn a lot and really like ,your ways you say such nice things the world needs more people like you 😀
Very nice video about serging Dorothy. You’re right, a serger is a real time saver! I really hope that I’m fortunate enough to win a Love Notions pattern!
I have been using a serger for years now, and really enjoy your videos. I used my serger for swimsuits this summer but will try the classic tee just ordered.
Loved making my first Classic Tee and loved wearing it. My daughter loved it, too, and has taken it home. I guess that means another should be forthcoming -- yes!
I forgot to add that I really appreciate you taking time to show how to serge a tee shirt...I now want to get a serger. I just have to decide. I need to go back to your video on them....
I had my serger 10 months before i completed a knit garment on my serger. Used to do the seams on my sewing machine and finish the edges on the serger but worked up to it and I love it, so quick and easy.
Hi KIm! I wish there was RU-vid 25 years ago when I bought my first serger. I only used it to finish seams and hated every time the threads came undone or the color had to be changed. You have taught me so much and now I am not afraid of my serger!! Thank you!!
A great video thanks. I have watched it even though I have been using an overlooker for a while now. I am still learning. I have been looking through all the patterns from love notions. I have a couple already and I've bought the vest, boyfriend cardigan and the origami tunic cardigan. I had a hard time deciding which ones to buy but I love the look of the origami tunic.
I purchased my serger from a store second hand, and there has been frustrating times rethreading it, but having the book handy really helps. I do love my machine!
You have a great teaching style for begenners and your instructions are are very clear and very complete. I wonder if you have to do as much planning as we were taught to do in education classes.
Thank you so much, this was just the motivation I needed to get out my overlocker and make a classic tee for my daughter. How I enjoyed following you step by step! I feel like empowered and inspired to see more. Thanks Kim.
The classic tee is so versatile. I have ones for PJ tops and others for everyday wear. I have discovered the perfect fabric with this pattern is AGF cotton spandex jersey
It's great to see the how to videos again Kim. I have a Bernette overlocker I've had for nearly 30 years. I love it. To thread, simply tie off and pull through (as you suggested) but set all tension dials to 0 while you do this. If you do needs to thread from scratch the secret is to undo everything and thread from right to left in order, placing the thread under the pressure foot when it is finished then move on to the next thread. It works every time if you follow the instructions really carefully.
I really want a seger. Just need to save up a little money.... Kim thanks for the great video. I am watching your content the hole time from the Netherlands. So small the world is today. Learning a lot from you. Thanks!
Hi, I am known as one of your ghost subscribers. I love your videos, they are very informative, I like that you show us different technics. I have the laundry day tee. I have heard about how people like the classic tee. Love Notions have a very good pattern selection of sizes and styles.
I am gaining confidence with my serger. I bought as a Christmas present for myself but did not approach it until March as it is hard to thread. Glad I got over my fear and thank you for all the tips.
