As a college quarterback, Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman admits it took a while for him to earn Tom Brady's trust. He told Jim Miller at his SiriusXM Town Hall how that all changed over a few summers.

Simon Knight really? U dont think that throw from brady that could of very easily been picked... he not only prevents the interception ... but makes a circus catch... and u dont think that is even CLOSE... wow that tough... tons of big plays obv strip sack by hightower is right up there... i guess u could say that mighta been “bigger” but i think at the very least that play was huge and def the most memorable imo

@@whoopsie890 It was the biggest play because it contributed to the most important thing needed to win a game, especially one of that much importance......Momentum. Without momentum in football your lost in the head space of playing catch up and feeling uncertain of whether or not you can win. Momentum and confidence are the most important aspects in football....."You gotta believe bro" and "Its gonna be a hell of a story" are two quotes from Edelman during that game that no real football fan will ever forget.

@@WMDistraction He was making very little as a 7th round pick actually. A few hundred thousand per year sounds like a lot, but you certainly aren't retiring on it at age 35 and now you have no applicable skills to real life

Benjamin Davis Which is an opportunity very, very few people are afforded, even when they work hard. He had an opportunity that was afforded to him partly by hard work, but also partly by pure dumb luck. Many, many people work their asses off. Very few people get paid off like Edelman was for the hard work.

As a Patriots fan but more importantly as a fan of Julian Edelman, I would LOVE to see this. Unfortunately the guy is done. His knee is ruined. And he sadly retired this afternoon. Truly a great. One of the greatest receivers of all time. He will never get credit for it because his regular season numbers are relatively pedestrian. But he is one of the best receivers of all time. The playoff stats tell that story. Over and over again.

I grew up in Rhode Island and really just because of that I am lucky enough to have been raised a Patriots fan and got to enjoy their long success as a die hard fan. You can hate Tom Brady and Edelman all you want and if your a fan of another team in the AFC I understand why you would lol. But there is no denying that if you want to succeed at anything in life, approach it how Tom Brady and Julian Edelman approach playing football in the NFL. Study their commitment, work ethic and attitude towards adversity and apply that same level of commitment to whatever it is you want to be the best at and you will always have success.

Not a Pats fan but I love dynasties in sports and these guys are the ultimate in the NFL. They are fun to watch and I really appreciate their professionalism and passion. Disneyland is in the OC though. Where’s the love? It’s not in grimy ass LA! Neither are the Angels for that matter!!

Jule's summed it about the insane catch in SB 51, there were 5 other crucial plays in that drive alone, another 20 during the game, that if any one of them didn't occur the Falcon's win. It literally is "one play at a time" mentality that fuels this franchise. The secret is out......should be easy to beat them now, right?

Yeah they did it's so unfair they keep beating people they must be cheating that's the only explanation. Or not and then we'll make up a story that only sounds plausible if you've never blown up a balloon, and then we'll proceed to lose in court so we have to appeal and take it to a judge we bought so we can suspend a guy for 4 games.
