@@jamesjones6069 Deion Sanders said the guy should be in the Hall of Fame after the Superbowl. If I have to pick between Prime's opinion and your opinion.... well..... it's pretty clear I'm gonna listen to the greatest CB ever.
Daniel Casey Lmao and people laughed at him just like I am you. I guarantee you the majority of people inside and outside the NFL agree he isn’t a damn HOFer. He’s a nice player with a SB MVP but also used PED’s.
He is the offense that makes the Patriots go. His catch against the Giants defines how good of a receiver Edleman is. He is the Man young or old! FACTS!
I love how rings in a team sport with massive rosters makes you better than someone. I love his attitude, that i just do what i do and if i get recognized great if not doesn't change anything
I have so much respect for this man..he has overcome a lot, became an impressive football player, with a gigantic hearth...i mean, not a first or secon ballot HOF..but if he can reach near Rice in the playoff reception and maybe another SB...there are player with a very worst accomplishments there...he's inspiring, when i see him play i see hearthm grit, perseverance...love for the game...the NFL needs more Edelman and less AB or OBJ
Antonio Labaš Dude has a grand total of 2 TD’s and is 13th in receiving yards. Anyone could play that slot receiver’s role with Brady as their QB. He deserves some respect, but he wouldn’t be worth a shit if you put him on any other team without Brady as the QB. Brady has made some guys some serious money over his career.
Playing in important games, making plays in important games is what fuels his fire.....that is a player that plays for more than the money. He wants to win and he wants to compete...give me a player like this any day.
Wes was a better player than Edelman in his prime on the Patriots. You clearly must not have watched him back then. Go back to 07... especially the 09 year he was unstoppable and would have broken Harrisons reception record if he hasn't missed 2.5 games.
Recency bias is at play here. Welker had 672 receptions for 7,459 yards and 37 touchdowns during his six seasons in New England (2007-12) Edelman since he had his breakout season in 2013 has posted 468 receptions for 5,125 yards and 28 touchdowns (Edelman is completing his sixth season right now because he missed the 2017 season with an injury). On top of this Welker had a 72.6 catch percentage to Edelman's 67.2% and averaged 80.2 y/g to Edelman's 70.2. Welker also didn't get to play with Brady due to his injury in the 08 season and Brady had one of, if not, the worst season of his career in 2009 while trying to get back into form. Edelman has played with a healthy Brady every year since 2013. If you put Welker on those 2014, 16 or 18 they still win those Super Bowls.
@@F33TUS Well said... I remember in the 09 season he was catching almost 10 balls a game. He missed 2 games due to a shoulder injury and then most of the last game of the season with the torn ACL. He had 123 catches that year... suffice to say if he played in all 16 games he would have broken Marvin's 143 reception record for a season.
Hybridswimmer I love welker, he’s just not as clutched as Edelman when it counts. You saw that catch in the SB? well did u see that catch too from welker...oh wait he drop it. Oh and he was good in 07 cuz u know who’s getting double on the other side of the field right?
In 2011, Derek Jeter was on his quest for 3000 hits. Derek strained his calf and was put on the DL. Wally Pipp filled in at shortstop during the 18 games Jeter missed.
This is a ranking based on individual talent. If Edelman was playing for the Dolphins or Redkskins and putting up big numbers then he would be considered top notch talent. He’s phenomenal in the Patriots system but so are many other players in that roster. Bill Belichick and Brady make them all tick.

Well the thing is that people wonder how well he would do without an elite QB cuz we've seen many WRs leave the Pats and play for a non elite QB and they do horrible.

At the end of Mr. Julian Edelman"s football day, his unmatched on the field winning big games work ethic, as a slot receiver, a "new position" accepted by his unbiased football peers: pioneered stats and achievements at that position, will require a HOF Induction. If necessary, NFL Fans Will Petition Rational Judgement.
Making the top 100 means you are top 5 at your position if every position is accounted for. For the most part there are more than 1 WR and CB so it goes deeper there. Edelman is really good, but he was never too 5. And barely if ever a top 10 WR. Being ranked 90th is actually very good.
How is he 90th and didn't even make the list last year? What is going on? Anyway, why should he care when he keeps going home with the rings and is a first ballot hall of famer when its all said and done. Erin Andrews, enough said,.
The voters likely attribute a lot of his success to the system, the team, coaching, etc. However, if you do the math, there are 32 teams, 64 sides of the ball. 704 starters, so being at around 100 means you are a very good player.
@@el_duderino_man He is the reigning super bowl MVP for God's sake. What else does the man have to do? He has 3 super bowl rings and he is a major player in all of them, not some guy riding the bench and coming in for 5 mins.
@@knightoyin6500 Nick Foles was the previous Super Bowl MVP and was not on the list. There are a lot of potential superstars who just end up on the wrong team. Edelman just found the perfect offense for his skill set. If he played his career in Cleveland, nobody would know his name. It is tough to rate players on team sports. It is the reason for draft busts. Typically high draft picks come from dominant college teams and then go directly to terrible teams.
@@el_duderino_man Nick Foles had one good season where they got to the final. He was not the starting quarter back and only got in there due to injury, he can't be compared to Edelman
@@knightoyin6500 maybe he has to produce a little bit during the regular season. Being superbowl mvp is cool, but completely irrelevant to gauge a player's talent (unless you think Deion Branch > Randy Moss). I love Edelman, he's tough and clutch, but at the end of the day there is a number of receivers in the league that are taller, faster, stronger and able to put up bigger numbers despite playing with less talented quarterbacks.

Honestly Edelman probably isnt top 100....you know how many receivers would thrive on that Patriots team with that QB? Solid player but NFL is full of talent.
