I was down H division in late 80’s when Julian came down and he was pretty much hidden amongst slim Minogue and Choppers little crews and was always in the yards with them on run outs . Chopper was the meal billet and he and another well known convicted killer were tight with the screws and no good to the bone Somehow Julian managed to slip between those 2 crews and stay healthy but Binsey did jazz him one day in the tunnel down in H Division but as always screws intervened real quick when Julian was involved and unfortunately it only amounted to a few punches being laid by binsey. After H division he spent time in J division up until pentridge closed in around 97. To his credit he somehow survived some of the most violent and and treacherous periods in H division and Jika Jika in those times and I think that was more to do with him aligning himself with no good crooks in no good crews who worked with screws on every level so to a degree he was a protected species and on another level none of the real hardcore crooks in those days never bothered with him because there were far more bigger dramas and wars going on than worrying about stiffening Julian Knight.
This dude I went to school with, burnt his parents house down, attempted murder times 3, ended up in Pentridge just before it closed down. Anyways, when some of the inmates found out it was his 18th birthday, they gave him a big Rpeing for a birthday present. Lovely people all around. Thanks for sharing Chaos.

I was in the same unit as knight played pool against him he just another guy to talk to you wouldn't know,he didn't look like much but when I seen him in the gym he was shredded,I know one guy said he was going to get him and jules went to the pool table and stopped the threat

I lived in the next cell beside him for a couple years in PPP waxsymby unit. We never said much to each other, even the mokbel boys were there at that time. Yards were seperate but not like now. I think you forgot Charlotte or borowdale.

Re Julian knight, he’s obviously smart enough to fly under the radar probably an amount of luck he hadn’t been dealt with as have heard of guys going to other yards to sort out unfinished business with someone that isn’t in their unit.
One of my 5.8s had been moved to the unit that julian is in. A bloke by the name of Ant was in there who requested my mate be transferred there. My mate used to play chess with Julian, and he told Julian that he had done a project in school on him. Julian was pumped about it, my mate said he could see that jules was frothing the idea of his own notoriety. However, they had a bit of a falling out after my mate questioned if he knew that what he had done was wrong. Jules cracked the shits and didn't want a bar of it.
I read that chris binse had afew swings at knight and took him down, not a beat down as you say but definitely got him. Did you ever have any run ins with chris binse? he intrigues me alot, I read his book, very very fascinating fella, he even done time up in nsw, I feel bad for him as hes done 90% of his time in supermax and isolation because of his escape attempts, he talks about warring with that gavin preston and his gang, his time at goulburn supermax and speaks about the wars of goulburn, which was known as the killing fields back in the day.

What really confused me was back in the late 80’s early 90’s not sure about these days there were numerous murderers and rapist of women throughout mainstream jails NSW especially In Goulburn,Long Bay and even Lithgow which are the Maxo jails where the baddest do their sentences have you experienced this in mainstream Victoria?

I know you wouldn’t have been in the same unit / yards as some of the other more infamous prisoners that’s offended against women and kids but what would life be like in the unit for these people? Is there still hierarchy amongst those people, that still put them in danger? is life miserable for them? When you hear of these crimes most people would like to see them live a miserable existence with treats of assault ect ect, do they go at each and can others from other yards antagonise them? Sort of wish they do

Jules got babysat by chopper back when he first rocked up at pentridge... After years of training, apparently he is now quite te specimen just like you said Biff.. I know a few older heads that were at pentridge back when he came in, was a protected species.
@@the-chaos-chronicles facts bruz, I grew up about 200mtrs away from the back wall at pentridge, my uncle did 24 yrs all up in & out.. I used to love going up for family days.. I remember being fascinated with all the tattoos. I also remember the alarms going off and screws searching the backlane behind the crib with dogs. Not sure if it was a breakout or just a drill. We used to chuck rocks at the screws on the catwalk on Murray Rd then bolt off as they swore & yelled... good times

Pretty sure he had already been kicked out for assaulting a Sargent in duntroon and he was at a pub and was knocked back by a female bartender. That’s when he went and got the guns. His a nuisance though.
