Thanks for sharing your story and your feelings about the Book of Mormon. I know I have grown to love my Savior more since reading it and becoming a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Thank you for sharing your comment Kari. I, too, am a Christian, as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Mormon, an ancient American prophet, compiled sacred writings of the gospel of Jesus Christ in a record which he buried in the earth. I do not think he ever started a church in our day? As you may know, 'Mormon’ is a nick name given by a partially informed editor of a newspaper in Ohio to the Ohio called members of the of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to describe or highlight ONLY one belief of The Church--to the editor’s curious, reading audience. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the name of the organization which believes in and tries to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ found in the Bible and other sacred scriptures. That is the definition of Christian! The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the same organization that existed in the primitive church established by Jesus Christ and his apostles about 2000 years ago. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is now restored to earth for the benefit of all of the daughters and sons of our Heavenly Father-to bring us back to a unity of the faith in Jesus Christ. The newspaper editor could have called it the “Apostolic church” for like the primitive church it is led by apostles of Jesus Christ whom He leads by revelation. He could have called it “The Prophetic Church” for The Church has prophets who teach of Jesus Christ. He could have called it “The Seventy Church” for there are ordained Seventies who travel the globe under the direction of the apostles OR “The Priesthood Church” as His authority was restored, OR “The Pearl of Great Price Church” and have been very accurate for that book of scripture also contains writings of truths we believe. Interesting isn’t it, Kari, how when people make up names to call other people, sometimes the names they use ‘stick’ when reused repeatedly like playing only ‘one key’ on a piano keyboard. I hope you will listen for the sounds of other ‘keys’ available in the Church of Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints as it has been restored by Him in these day prior to the Second Coming of Jesus to the earth. - Jeff, a Christian trying to follow Jesus’ teachings.
