Blessed to say that I saw the amazing Julie Andrews live in concert at the Valley Forge Music Fair in 1987. She was everything you ever dreamed she would be. Elegance personified.

It is 2024 and I am watching this. She still had her really good voice.

I'm from China. When I was about 12, first learning English, I love watching all her films and listening to her music. I remember I used to listen to this concert again and again on that old desktop in my home. I accidentally open this video today and I found that every word and every syllable she sings or speaks are stored in my brain and they can just easily flow out like a stream. This video brings me back to the good old days, and I realize that I have never stopped loving her.

It’s May 17, 2024 and I’m still watching. I’ll never tire of watching her. She is the world’s best - and I’ve loved her ever since she rolled her eyes in “The Sound of Music.” I was 19 years old when I first saw her/heard her and I’m 78 years old now. Thanks, Julie, for all you are, all you do, and the joy you give to so many others.

While it is a shame what happened with her voice, I am so grateful for what we got out of her singing career, and what we continue to get from her work in film and charity.

She's a generation older than me, but from my earliest memories, I've been in love with Julie Andrews. And I am, still.

Every time I hear her singing before her vocal cords were butchered, I want to cry. No amount of damages won in a lawsuit begins to make up for the loss of one of the greatest voices ever. She still has a lovely speaking voice...small comfort.

She is my favorite singer, I love “the sound of music”, watched over and over, never tired to watch it. She is classy, elegant and beautiful lady!

For my 50th birthday, I was given airline tickets to NYC along with tickets to “Victor, Victoria” with Julie Andrews. I thought I had died & gone to heaven! She left the show the week before the date of my tickets to have that horrific surgery that changed everything. I still grieve the loss of her voice and revel in every opportunity to see and hear her in any medium.

2021 and still watching. (We really needed to start a new thread for 2021, not just tag along on 2020.) She's 53 I think in this show and she still looks, moves, and sounds great. I watch "Le Jazz Hot" every time I need to get psyched up. I listen to the rest for her wonderful voice. so clear and powerful, with remarkable range and clarity, as well as for the total esperience that is Julie Andrews, full of energy and the joy of life.

If ever I would be placed in isolation and can only bring three things, one of it would a turn table with her "Love Me Tender" vinyl LP. This should be a MUST HAVE for every Julie Andrews fan. I owned 18 vinyl LP of hers and that is my number one favorite. Love her so
