Julie has been in my thoughts recently. I'm glad to hear things went well. I hope she continue to recover well. Looking forward to seeing her back on the bike ;)

Wonderful news, great relief for you both. And sounds like a far superior operation compared to the treatment I underwent in Bulgaria. Just take time off to recover, enjoy life and be thankful that you have each other for support, and most importantly, and I can't emphasise this enough, never forget how close a call this was. Every day together from now on is to be cherished, and good health, along with physical wellbeing, are your greatest weapons in providing a long and happy future as partners. A couple of bike upgrades wouldn't go amiss either, and deffo drop the tandem thing, it's not happening 🤦♂️🚴♂️🚴♀️💨. Fondest wishes to you both, from Charlie. ❤
