This song sang by a choir member during my wedding day with my wife (6/18/88 ). And it was a surprise while my wife walk on the aisle. An old wedding song older than both of us but meaningful.

This is a woman who really knows what love is, unlike singers changing partners every other years. Her first husband died in 1984 (before this performance?) and the second died in 2018. Two tragedies, but she knows what it means: love each other till death.

thought this song was brill in '64 but when i heard it live i was blown away. toured with her as stage electrician in the gulf in 1970 and everything she sang was just as good. an exceptional singer and a very nice person

I'd like to dedicate this to my late sister-in law Sharon, who for months would sing this song on Friday nights when with my Mother and myself we'd go the local for drink and to get together with the locals for a catch up. Sharon had her wish come true, she married the man she loved (my brother) and for the next 10 years or so lived in mining towns in Tasmania and Northern Territory in Australia. Sadly Sharon's dream started to unravel she became a victim of domestic and physiological abuse, she turn to alcohol, developed anorexia nervosa and suffered from deep depression. One day when her husband was at work and the kids were at school, Sharon took her own life is a most violent way (a rifle) , I can't hear this song without remembering the joy and twinkle in her eyes when she sang along with this song. May she rest in peace
