Sounds like Julio was at level B2 CEFR English in this interview, which is advanced intermediate, almost fluent. Carson's Spanish sounds level A2, elementary/beginner intermediate. I'm more impressed Carson speaks Spanish.
Julio Iglesias clever man, neat, genteel nice guy, attorney, soccer player, polyglot and Johnny Carson unforgettable host, a tv legend, he was the best interviewer all times and then David Letterman.
I remember in high school when I over heard another girl say in home room "oh he's so delicious" and she was even cracking up a joke about his smoking and then she started saying how much she wished she could be his angel

A v good interview. Johnny Carson did it again! Julio Iglesias has a v charming personality, with his incredibly beautiful voice and loads of hard work. He's definitely deserved all his successes. It is always a pleasure to listen to his music. Wish him good health. A happiness.
I remember watching this on TV and loved it. I was so thrilled that Julio had made it here, because I knew of him before, and it was thrilling to see him with Johnny Carson, for the first time! Thanks for sharing this - what a great memory!

Julio Iglesias mostra sempre una classe ed una signorilità davvero innate. Come cantante, non ha eguali considerando che non è più giovane. E poi ha saputo cantare in tante lingue. Una persona eccezionale!

Muy elegante la entrevista, me gustó cómo ambos se sorprendieron con lo bien que hablaban el idioma del otro. En especial Johnny, no me esperaba esa fluidez.
No , he sings in those languages , more or less express himself in some of them but he don't master them, I sing many songs in German, French, English, Mandarin and Japanese but I don't master those languages
Este señor aparte del don de cantar y hablar bien inglés debió estar protegido por los los Ángeles,se salvó de un accidente. Una vida muy interesante la suya y uno de los españoles más internacionales de todos los tiempos.

They talk, smile, walk, sing, perform the same way; although with different music tastes but still... THEY ARE SAME!!!
