Yessss definitely give her books another shot, i started collecting her books, and i know what you mean, at first i really wasnt sure how to color her style and how to approach her books but im telling you the polychromos works like a dream on her paper !! Im actually gonna make a video of how to color in Millie Marrotta books for beginners! Maybe it will be usefull to some people

I have been following you for a very long time and you really helped me make the most out of this wonderful hobby and my coloring books, and of coarse so much inspiration. Recently i went back and rewatched a lot of your videos to get some inspo. I even found that “where’s Wally ? “ coloring book on ebay !! Here in the US we called him Waldo and i grew up with those 3 books ! I loved them so much as a child so i had to get the coloring book for nostalgia reasons. Thank you so much for the recommendation on the pencils i definitely put them on my wishlist ! I actually mention you a lot but i dont always tag you becasue i dont want to be annoying, but i can tell you , that you would be surpised how much you get mentioned by other channels as well, everytime someone talks about The Magical City or Inktense , usually your name gets mentioned, but i believe they probably dont always tag you. Hi Sue !! Yes sometimes they are patchy if i put too much water on my brush, make sure you dont have too much water and sometimes ill do 2 coats where it is patchy just to go over it again makes it much better. Some colors are more patchy or more opaque than others. And No i do not usually color underneath the coliro but you most certainly can experiment with that.

Also just keep practicing and experimenting with them, the best way to master any art supply is to use it a lot !!!

@@coloredbymaia6476 I was a watercolour painter before I got back to pencils. So because of that I am used to using thin washes of watercolour and I guess that means I use a lot more water than most colouring book artists when they use paint. I am used to using proper brushes too, which hold water well. I need to practice with less water and using water brushes in the almost dry state I think. It feels like it goes against the grain.

@@suewilkinson910 ya definitely coloring book paper is not watercolor paper. Coloring is different im sure from watercolor art. You’re right the good brushes hold the water well so im sure the transition to coloring books is a learning curve for you but believe me your skills will be great on coloring book elements !! but witj Mettallic watercolor if ur going for an opaque look then u need less water. Im a huge fan of watercolor art and im sure ur work is fantastic.

The paint is a better quality paint which has less water in it and more pigment so it can cover the page with one coat and not much water, plus i make sure my brush is not too wet with water. It does warp the page a bit but not much. The more expensive craft paints are worth it, dont get like the michaels brand etc…
