What do you color your pictures with? Can you use colored pencils then take alcohol markers over the colored pencil, or does the marker go first then the colored pencil.
I love camile de rrico page and the Rain Forest page....I love them all!!!! Beautiful! I am loving how you use color!! So inspirational to me! well done!!
Not just Europe, it's hard to get Prisma in other countries also, I'm from the Middle East, and I the smallest set of Prisma costs 60$ here. The only other alternative is Amazon which the price starts from 25$ for the smallest set and only goes up from that. Then don't take those pencils for granted. 😂 Oh and also no Ohuhuhu markers here because they don't send here, so it's a bummer.
They're all stunning 💜 but I must say that the page in the Pandora book is my favorite. The combination of the purple trees and the pink sky is absolutely stunning. And I also love especially the page in Luna. (Luna and Moon valley are also my favorite Maria Trolle books. I'm super excited about the new one. The pictures I saw so much are beautiful). The princess book is on my wishlist since I saw it on your channel and I also have the polar bear one on my list since I saw it a while ago.
Maia!!! Another wonderful video as usual. Love everything you got. Yeah, Prismacolor pencils are about £200 here, back in the day I got the 72 set, and I have the 120 polychromos in the wooden box which are beautiful, but there are so many colour alongs that are with the 150 prismacolor pencils so that’s a bit rubbish 😂. Love from your friend in the UK 😊
@@Loonit23 Around 30 €. The 36 Set is 50€. The 150 set was around 300€ on Amazon. It's crazy. You can't buy the pencils individually. (Germany) In comparison: 120 Polys 180€, 72 Chromaflow 90€.
Hi Maia! Great Haul. I did receive the Faber Castell Black Edition Pencils, I like them, very nice Colors. Thank You for Sharing All of Your Goodies! Have a Wonderful Day!💜💜
Wow Maia!! It's one of those months where EVERYTHING IS AMAZING!! Literally everything!?!? I don't know how you do it? You are a rock star. And congratulations on your latest milestone. I am very happy for you. 🤍🤍
Loved this and cannot wait to have a go!! I finally found one of the kids coloring books at my Daiso! plus I tried their Basix gel pens and they are really good!Neons as well!! I was shocked. and I think coloring bumblebee shared that she liked Prisma scholar....so I ordered the set...I love them!! Creamy and pigmented and really good neons!!! I am obsessed with neons and the Gansai Tambi paints. There is an art store in Pasadena called Blue Rooster and they sell some single. You have gotten me hooked!!! Thank you Maia....
Great tips for Enchanted Forest. You may be the first person I have seen not using a water brush with inktense. Thank you for the how to color water demonstration. Your finished tea cup page is sure to be colorfully dreamy.
so good!!! I hope you are feeling better!!!! Love the wee Daiso book....my Daiso did not have that one...only a floral one which of course I bought!! Thank you Maia!!!
Silicone brushes might work for blending oil pastels also especially in small spaces. The oil pastels sure make a nice vibrant background. I am going to try the neocolor II combo you used I love those colors together. I save the shavings of neocolor II's in a spare pallet same as some others. BTW your Enchanted Forest pages = wow 🤩
Hi Eve !! Oh yes that a great idea !!! Yay glad you’ll try out that combo ! I love neo 2s so much . And yes i have seen people save the shavings so interesting and makes a lot of sense !! That stuff is expensive !!! I wish i was organized enought to do that ! Lol xoxoxox
Like the color palette! I guess one can use colored pencils over the satin glazing liquid? I have never tried the glazing liquid but it's on my list. As always thanks for a enjoyable video full of colors and helpful tips!
Hi Eve !! Yes you can but only if its a thin layer !! And the harder pencils work better on top of it, less so the waxy softer ones like prismas. Hope that helps !! Ya i use that stuff to fix a lot of things and for many different purposes lol ! Experimentation is key
Nice haul! Very helpful tip regarding Prismacolors and Brutfuner Macaroons ...for whatever reason I have never tried them together. I am drawn to tropical art lately so The Underwater Worlds coloring book is appealing. Lovely white knights pastels!
Hi Eve !!! Omg i love that book underwater worlds so much !! Love that artist so much ! Oh yes i keep my Brutfunner macarons in the same case as my prismas !! Its a great supplament !
@@coloredbymaia6476 Greetings Maia !🌴 I ordered Underwater Worlds thanks to viewing your haul 🐬....I am looking forward to choosing which page to color first, should arrive this evening. 🎨
Hi Mary !!!! Oh thats nice to hear !! Ya i like going back and seeing what i can do , its a fun challenge !!! Thanks for watching and commenting ! Happy coloring
Hi newbie !! Yay !!! So happy you found my channel and you like it !! Thank you so much for your kind words !! I hope you check out my other videos and like them too!!haha happy coloring to you !!
Do pastel alcohol markers bleed through? I have a cheap set of alcohol markers but I don't like how they bleed through the paper. I agree about pastels. Thanks for this, I have been watching quite a few of your videos lately, you have lots of good suggestions.....Edited to say I viewed the clip further after my post and understand the ohuhu alcohol markers do not stain the next page, but I am supposing they still stain the back of the page one is coloring on (?)
Hi Eve !!! Yes all alchohol markers bleed to the back of the page !!! So only use alchohol markers on single sided pages ! (Some cheaper alchohol markers will also stain the following pages over time but not ohuhu) hope that makes sense !!! For double sided books use waterbased markers and test them on the paper to make sure they dont ruin the back side of the page.
You are nothing short of AMAZING❣️we seem to like so many of the same books/artists. Alice in Winderland is my favorite also and I have the Pandora book too💗I enjoy ALL your video and look so forward to your new ones❣️I live north of San Diego so not too far away….would love to meet up with you sometime💗I don’t have a you tube channel yet (kinda nervous and need more knowledge) but maybe one day. Pretty inexperienced colorist for sure💗my fiancé has a masters degree from art center so rather intimated by his talent compared to mine❣️I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE everything you create and enjoy learning g from Y❤️U
Omg LUra !!! Your wonderful comment seriously made my day !!!! Thank you so much dear !!!!! Wow so glad you found my channel and like it!! Its always fun to find a channel that has similar taste in books to you !!! Oh wow i love San Diego !!!! Such a gorgoues area !! I really want to take my kids to Seaseame place hopefully ill do it soon !! Id love to have a coloring meetup some day lol !!! Hope you enjoy watching the rest of my videos and feel free to ask me any questions anytime ! Have a wonderful week and happy coloring !
I like all of your shiny sparkly paint ideas 🤩 ...Do you sometimes use acrylic metallic paint on backgrounds ? I thought I heard you say that but not sure. I have a lot of metallic and glitter watercolors and you have given me more ideas how to use them.
Hi EVe !! Yes i use the metallic acrylic craft paints on backgrounds in my coloring books !! Its a lot of fun !!! If you watch my older completed pages videos you will see some im sure !! So happy you got something out of that video ! That video took me forever to make !! Lol
I used watercolor pencils in my regenbogen by Ursula Schwab and it didn’t turn out great, I feel like none of the papers I have work for watercolor. The only watercolor pencil worked for me is in Maria trolle books. Another thing that never works for me is watercolor markers they don’t ever blend, never looks great and always bleeds through. I wish I knew which media to use with what books.
Yes many coloring books dont have great paper for watercolor pencils but i love the Japanese coloring books because they work great with watercolor pencils. For example the Eriy books. Even the english editions work great with watercolor pencils i found. You have to test the paper and experiment. For the watercolor markers use them on a plastic palette and then pick them up with a brush and use that on the paper . That will help. You can also do that with regular waterbased maerkers. For the watercolor markers to work properly you need quality watercolor paper, which we do not have in coloring books.
Hi dear !! Which pages ? The first was alchohol marker with some inktense on top and some neon pencils, i use random pencils whatever is on my desk . The second page was that Eriy ? Ya Eriy was pan pastel as a base with water color pencils for the rest, the watercolor pencils are by Caran dache called Supracolor 2 softs Aquarelles
If you don’t already have a tutorial on how you use neon pencils, please make one. I always love seeing your completed pictures pop off the page. Then wonder how you managed it.
