wow, it is my impression that demand is high in EU for the GWP: probably the best GWP ever for the fourth of may

It did sell out in the USA shortly after we recorded this video on the 4th. Early indications are that the GWP bundle is pretty close to last year's trajectory so far, with the race to the bottom nearing its low point.

Yeah, and since it has minifigs (kinda) and is good for baddies army building, I'm holding until at least the holidays. I think it will get up to last year's GWP!

I have to say, I picked up a UCS tie interceptor on the first and it’s one of the best builds I’ve ever got. Loved the model + the promos just made it so much better.

29:30 That Phase 2 clone trooper also was in 2014 Lego Star Wars advent calendar with an extra santa hat and the set also comes with his clone trooper helmet so not 100% quite exclusive there.

This city releases and that HP TriWizard Tournament set are🔥. Inspite of the fact that it’s City/HP, these will do FANTASTIC for investing! (Subject to shelf life and buy price, of course)

The ghost, gunship, superstar destroyer, and Vaders helmet have all been pushed back to 2025 retirement according to bricktap recent updates who are IMO the most reliable lists on retiring sets

Excellent video as always! I always enjoy your back and forth banter! Very enjoyable and informative. It’s my first year investing. I’m starting to consider the Mechs for collecting. These look sweet on display. Maybe it is the Gundam style that also appeals to me. I could see these becoming desirable in the future.

Much depends on whether the Luke's X-Wing mech is the last one, or if they release 5-10 more in the future.

I don’t invest, but I’m confused on why anyone would have already invested in the Venator when realistically it could still be on the shelf for 4+ years. Unless there was such profit in splitting up the set and the individual mini figure which I guess could have been a play.

I'm right with you, completely pointless to purchase the Venator for investment this year or next. As you say, maybe it's sellers separating them, or quick flippers.

It’s doing fine. Over 500 sold last week on eBay so if the velocity holds up and the supply starts to dwindle it’s all good

they probably should have released something like a UCS MTT or something expensive to go alongside. It doesnt make sense to buy any of the sets that are out right now.

I agree, the droid carrier doesn't pair well with anything right now. Hopefully that means we'll get more droid vehicles in the near future...

I think May 4th GWP is awesome. I think Lego cranked up production and maybe is learning from last year’s shortages. I only got one, but it’s for enjoyment not investment. 😂

The new Paz Visla figure has an improved helmet compared to the old one in the forge which will make that figure collectible. Also the stormtrooper commandos in the battle pack all died in that scene and shouldn’t ever appear in a set again.

One of the discords is reporting it is no longer on the list along with executor and Gunship. They have been pushed out until next year. All sets I bought during May the 4th sales.

@@DGBricksYTBrickTap reported the 3 sets mentioned not to retire until 2025. If that is the case, I would love to hear your thoughts on how to handle your inventory. Sell or keep? And why? Maybe a video? :) lots of people in that position after mat 4th purchases
