I have lots of unfinished journals and I use the pages for doodling, art collage and pasting in things I like from magazines etc. They become fun to look through and I'm not clogging my primary planners with bigger things that don't fit. I also swatch pens/pencils in the blank pages. :-)

Now I'm so afraid for August! 😂 I'm sorry the Take a Note didn't bring you joy. I stopped using my Happy Planner in 2023 to start a Spring start Cousin. It was a great decision. I love that the Cousin has a place for "traditional" planner layouts in the weekly section AND daily pages where I can be creative. I will be sticking with an Avec next year. I add so much stuff that a regular Cousin gets too chunky. Unsolicited medication advice! As long as you take your pills at the same time every day, then you should be good. If you wake up at 6 am every day take it at 6. It should last till the next day at the same time. Taking with food is to prevent stomach upset. I don't always take mine with food either. 😅 I hope you have a rockin' week. Thank you for being an awesome person! ❤

I actually really like that "Progress is not linear" too. I could see that both just as is AND with like a little car driving on the line because I can see that for like a travel sticker too.

Thank you for the video! So I’ve found that in order to not be wasteful any notebooks, I use them for any type of drawing, ideas, or lists. Just like a catch all type of notebook. Love the new emojis

I really like your advice for reusing unfinished planners by making tip in pages. I transitioned from a horizontal weekly planner to a vertical weekly planner and still had 6 months left. Luckily it is an undated planner but I have been trying to figure out what to do with it. Also, for filling in vertical weekly spreads, I've found that I like to not only include what I did during the day like tasks/events but I also like to include how i am feeling almost like a visual journal with a few words here and there. I found out recently that it has helped me fill in weeks where i normally would not have much to say.

Hiya helen! I studied English when I came to England as a child and had to teach my mum so English grammar is a strong suit of mine! You're struggling because of your sentence structure. "June's birth flower are roses." is technically correct but grammatically wrong since in this case, it would be "Roses are June's birth flower." Remember that whichever is easier to speak is most likely correct. The English language is messed up but it is made to be spoken easier. That being said, I speak ENGLAND English not AMERICAN or CANADIAN English so you may have slightly different grammar than I do. Hope this helps! Also, I always love your spreads and I'd love to see more of the doodles turned into stickers! Thanks for always sharing everything Helen! We love you!

I can relate with the difficulty of losing joy to keep up with certain notebooks. I used to buy from hobonichi day-free to track transactions and budget planning, now I have integrated it into my cousin.

You were strong enough to go on with take a note through June! I felt exactly the same with my Hibino since April but could not wait, bought my lovely Cousin again and back planned a loooot! I know the commitment to finish a journal is huge but in the end we should adore spending time in our journal and not feel stressed! Well done

I can understand the need to change up planners just to try them, but then realizing you don't need/want the additional stress. I'm feeling similarly about my work planner. I have tasks that I do always, and only get new ones on occasion, so I don't really need it and it's a hassel to make. It's very different from my previous job where I helped record appointments and wrote task lists for myself, as well as took notes. So I may be changing my work 'planner' to just a general work 'notebook' where I can take and keep notes during training or to jot down a reminder if necessary, but not actually list the daily stuff. Otherwise, I can migrate work reminders entirely to my main planner. I'm also still in love with my personal diary. I don't stress about daily journaling and just update it every couple of days, or whenever I have feelings/thoughts to write, and use it for memory keeping purposes, now. She's getting a surprising amount of use this way. Meanwhile, my budget and stories notebooks are daily uses, so that's fantastic. I hope you enjoy the rest of the year, Helen!

Yes I love the Cousin the best (second is the Weeks) and the two have become my cherished planners this year ❤ i love my TN but it has its place as a supplement to my planners, to catch other notes, scripture verses and things I enjoy. I have an Avec that I don’t use as a planner ( once I got it, I decided …no) but use it for notes. And I use the dates as a reference system (eg see Jan 15 for more notes, if I’m in June )

I have an idea. U can do the task list u do on daily pages in weekly spread. Like ignore timings. Just vertical column. And dedicate whole daily page to journaling and memory keeping.

For tiny icon (or any stickers), can you do something music related? Weather it’s music genre, or how emotis listen to music.

As long as you don't write/say things like "may you do such and such" since you only use may when referring to yourself. It's always "can you please do such and such."

I have a Hobo Cousin question. I love mine but i need more room. Do you know if they make one that has more blank pages added in? I do trackers and wish lists and so much more. The Hobo Cousin just don't have what I need but I love it so much. I don't know what to do for next year.
